I parked at the top of Gotten Lane and walked up footpaths to St Catherine's Down from there. Don't know how long it took but it was quite a climb on rough tracks, partially overgrown in places. Don't expect any nice views when you get there, all you can see is hedges and trees! But if you want nice views you could extend the walk by going along to the right to St Catherine's Oratory.
