Lake Beach — Attraction in England

Lovely little beach near where we were staying. We bought fish and chips nearby and went here to eat them. There were a few benches to do this, as it was a bit later we didn't fancy sitting on the sand. It was very busy with a canoeing club or the like and families crabbing on the pier. There was an ice cream van which was nice for a dessert, especially to still be there at the time we were. ...

Two sections of beach, one mostly pebbly and one more sandy. Gentle shelf in to the water. Water is quite silty, so not ideal for swimming but still a few people in the water. Great for canoeing and kayaking as its sheltered. Toilets available in the car park and these looked to have been modernised not that long ago, clean and perfectly useable. Car park gets busy on weekends...

Tucked away and less crowded than most it's a well kept secret. With free car parking and public toilets available. It has a long sandy beach with lovely sea views across the bay. It's nice and safe for children with plenty of ankle deep paddling available. Well worth a visit with a...
