Hidden bay at the foot of the imposing white cliffs of Dover. The bay is reached by a narrow path cut into the chalk cliff face, which descends to a tunnel cut into the chalk, itself leading to a ladder that finally gives access to the bay. It's worth the descent to appreciate the scale of the white cliffs from their base, and the WW2 defences and shipwreck revealed by the low tide create a great atmosphere.
