The highest point on Hadrian's wall and it comes with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. Some people have said on a very clear day you can see the iris and one side and the north sea on the other, but when I was up there, I could not verify that.I passed by this point when I did my west to East journey along Haden's wall in August 2024.

Breathtaking view up on sewingshield. Just be careful because it is very steep and can be dangerous especially in wet conditions. But the remaining of the wall is worth a visit. You have to walk up here because there is no parking lot directly located. But there is the visitor center from the fort just 1.5miles west so it's a nice little hike up there

Stunning part of Hadrians Wall and the National Trail. If going West you see the delights of whats to come. Going East (like me) its an emotional reflection of the superb walking you have done. Wonderful views of the Whin Sill looking West are truly iconic....
