There are a few good members of staff here who run classes and are approachable around the gym. That's the good aspect and frankly they deserve more than one star, but the rest is so dire and that's not their fault. Most of the equipment is broken and out of action, the stuff that works would probably be considered broken by a better gym. You will be lucky to find plates and dumbbells that you want. If this was a busier gym you wouldn't stand a chance, but seems fewer people come here now (leaving is probably the best thing to do). The machines are barely in operation, 7 out of 9 treadmills gave been out for months. There's as much caution tape as on a building site. The place is filthy. They don't have a contract with a cleaning firm. You'll see rubbish and discarded clothing not moved for weeks. Toilets are so bad they seem to just close them when they get completely soiled. There is an insect infestation and I wouldn't be surprised if there are also rodents somewhere. The spa area is mostly broken too. The steam room and sauna will be up and running for all of a couple of weeks and then be broken again for months. They are also filthy. Water temperatures are off. The showers aren't powerful and mostly chuck out cold water. The temperature of the pool is also colder than a should be. They've put up a sign apologising. Classes seem to be dwindling with them running less than a year ago. Mostly classes run in the daytime during the week and a few on in the morning at the weekends. This is not for many people whose jobs are 9-5 mon-fri. Aside from the trainer's running the classes the staff appear apathetic about the place. I do get that they may be reporting the issues at the gym and it may be the owners who are not making the effort. But as a member it's frustrating to just get a shrug when you point out any of these issues. I wouldn't recommend joining this gym at this stage. It's deteriorated sao badly that it really needs to be closed at this point.

I’ve been a gym member for over a year, and I’m extremely disappointed with how poorly it’s run. Since the start of the year, key machines like the treadmills, chest fly, and leg extension have been out of order. Instead of repairing them, Fusion keeps putting up signs saying they’ll be fixed “soon” but all they do is change the dates on the signs while the equipment remains broken. When I asked the receptionist, I was told the machines won’t be repaired under Fusion’s current management and that new equipment will only arrive when a new company takes over in July. Despite that, they still expect members to pay full price. I emailed them about cancelling and got a response saying several machines have been repaired and that upholstery work has been completed. This is completely false, I have photos showing the same broken machines with recycled notices and no visible improvements. The dishonesty and lack of transparency is unacceptable. I’ve cancelled my membership and wouldn’t recommend this gym whilst Fusion are running it.

I went swimming today with my toddler. The changing rooms are vile! So much crusty dirt in the changing rooms on the walls and floor. Lockers have seen better days. There’s limescale everywhere you look. I stopped in the cafe for avocado on toast and tea plus toast for the toddler. I can’t believe the service I received. They clearly need to be retrained. My avocado on my toast was so hot, it burnt my mouth - why was it hot!? My son’s toast came out wrong as we’d ordered white bread but was given seeded brown instead. I had to ask 3 times if the butter they’d used was actually dairy free due to allergies, yet the staff couldn’t care less. The whole dining area is filthy too. Salt shaker looks like it’s been rolling on the floor for a week. I’ll come back for swimming but will never eat in the cafe again. Disgusting.

Started taking my five year old granddaughter swimming here on a Sunday. Booking process is complicated to start but OK once you've done it a few times. Space for the teaching pool gets booked very quick. It's not cheap either and your only allocated 50 minutes actual swimming time. Book in at reception on arrival and as we are in the teaching pool we are asked to wear bright orange wristbands. Changing rooms are dark and dingy The cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. Have found left food, swimming nappies and other items in the family changing rooms. Some of the changing rooms doors don't lock. Same with lockers. The teaching pool is very small. The life guard doesn't bother to check wristbands on entry so we ended up with people and families who obviously didn't need to be in the teaching pool. Older children were jumping into the pool watched by the lifeguard who seemed like she would rather be anywhere but at work. We were under the impression that this is why wristbands were issued because you needed access to the teaching pool because your child can't swim safely not for older kids to mess about and jump in and splash everyone. The depth of the pool was 0.9 metres high ! I'm all for people having fun but not at the expense of my granddaughter not being able to enjoy herself or feel safe. She has additional hidden disabilities and all we want is for her to have a safe experience. The idea of the wristbands system was also to limit the amount of people accessing the teaching pool. Without them being checked the teaching pool is getting overcrowded and there's not enough room for everyone to comfortably move. If your selling it at a limited space wristbands system the least you could do is make sure this is followed through. Won't be returning anymore as its not a...

Paid £16.00 for myself and 6 year old child to go for a swim. Not worth it.

Upon getting to the pool we were surprised at how few people were in there (roughly 7 adults and 9 children at 1pm Tuesday during school holidays) but we soon realised why.

The swimming pool is so COLD. My 6 year old daughter and I could only tolerate it for 20 mins before we were shivering.

The kid's pool alongside was closed and access denied, so we didn't have the option to warm up in there, so had to run for the showers which are also run down, and some aren't even working.

Want to teach your child to dive? Access to the diving boards is denied unless you pay extra, and only from instructors.

The lighting in the changing rooms is dim and ugly, as are the cubicles which don't even have the most basic amenities such as coat hangers to hang items while changing.

They don't take cash, (of course they dont, why would they want to be flexible) but you need cash (pound coins) to use the lockers, so come prepared. Don't try to phone them to make enquiries as they will never answer.

It's honestly like they don't want people to swim there, and they definitely don't want families to have fun.

As a child I taught myself to dive using the diving boards in Warrior Square as did many others of my generation. No one got hurt as far as I know.

This place is sterile, boring, anti human, and soul sucking. No fun at all. Imagine a pool run by a prison warden going...
