My wife Rekkah wrote a review for our stay in September and I am disgusted to read the response from Leo.||||I personally spoke to one of the managers after the verbal abuse we endured from two staff members - the manager (I cannot remember her name) was very apologetic about the whole situation and said she would be in touch by email to offer some sort of compensation. I never received said compensation and this was the last communication we have had and that is the reason for the delayed review.||||Few things to address Leo:||||The towel wasn’t from the cleaner and you didn’t make any suggestions that it was. I believe you gave me a bag to place it in??||||Secondly, why would any hotel/accommodation customer expect the email booking confirmation from said property to have different information from the check in forms. I signed them without thinking I needed to double check they match. This led to me checking the email confirmation on our last night to check the check out time and therefore thinking it was slightly later than the forms stated. When I showed this to your cleaner her response was “I don’t care what it says”. ||||That cleaners attitude was what led us to actually complain at checkout - this then led to your member of staff being quite rude and swearing as we exited reception.||||We have travelled to tens of hotels worldwide and I have never ever been spoken to by hotel staff in that way. And the fact that you have reacted this way shows that maybe it’s an overall issue which feeds all the way down to the cleaners who think that’s the way to treat paying customers.||||More than happy to pay you a visit to discuss this in person when we visit forbidden corner next...

One bedroom en suite, the other two not, but we knew each other so worked out our own routines. The bedrooms are small but how long do you spend waving your arms around in a bedroom? They were fine. Beds comfortable, pillows nice quality. All rooms well heated and ventilated. Parking dead easy and you can take the car to the cottage to unload and load. The restaurant is one of the best we’ve been in. Food great, service very pleasant and courteous. And on a Wednesday night you can take your own wine at no charge! Bargain! The Forbidden Corner Garden is worth a visit and wile away an hour or two. And the Park is central for some beautiful walks. Middleham, home of several horse racing stables, is only a couple of miles away and we walked the dogs up the hill and along the Gallops to the village, had a coffee and walked back. All in a morning with time to spare. ||An absolutely...
Read moreOverall it was a lovely cottage (wharfdale) but had a few issues. ||||I was disgusted to find that a used bath towel was still left hanging in the bathroom door. ||||People from other cottages were leaving there rubbish outside in our corner of the cottage, not a pretty sight. ||||The email confirmation advised us a different departure time to what was stated in the guest book. We were rudely interrupted by the cleaning staff who insisted we leave. We went to complain and the staff said it must of been the booking site we used. We showed him we booked direct so why is their information not accurate? After raised voices we left only to find the staff swearing behind our backs. We obviously went back to question him but he claimed he didn’t say anything.||||If you want to deal with immature and rude staff then this place is for you. ||||My personal recommendation is visit Forbidden Corner but don’t stay at Tupgill Park. There are so many beautiful places to stay that...
