I don't use the car parks. I currently use the park for cycling. Most people are considerate cyclists but some don't have a clue on safety. Don't take blind bends at speed. Stay on the left where possible. When you encounter walkers slow down and use your bell to warn them in good time. Cross over to the opposite side or use the grass to give good clearance. Be curtious and thank them I don't believe it I'm sitting on a bench writing this and some numpty on an illegal electric powered MTB just whizzed past at 20+ miles an hour. It's just foolish and will end in tears. As an added moan I'm disgusted by the rubbish left after a warm weekend - take it home with you! Have a great day and keep...

Used to really enjoy this country park ,before the parking charges that apply there now.😠as an elderly pensioner I would walk my dog often there for between an hour , sometimes 2or more! How can I justify paying to park for a couple of hours and keep having to keep an eye on the clock in case I run over time, let alone the cost two or three times a week..so both myself , my grandson and my little dog cannot now take pleasure in this charming place.with all the council tax now paid in the area the need to sqeeze a few extra quid 💰from us is surely unecessary and foolhardy and an extra burden on the least able to afford the extra outlay.famillies without gardens and pensioners to...

A very large hide with great views across the lake. If the weather turns inclement a great place to shelter.

Plenty of birds, but I've yet to see or hear Bitterns.

Staff on hand at times to offer advice and to lend binoculars - see schedule.

There is lots of information inside the hide describing the wildlife and when it is likely to be seen.

Guided walks are given from here on certain weekends during the summer.

Access issues at the moment until the footbridge reopens in...

I would recommend walking, cycling, running around the lakes to anyone who likes nature and open spaces. Nice environment, a paradise for bird lovers and just in general it's a good place to go to to get out of London. There are multiple points to park your car, at a reasonable price. £2.50/day.

Beautiful nature park with plenty of routes for walking, cycling and wheelchair accessible too - the new bird watch space has a lift for wheelchairs to allow access on the rooftop observation point.
