As picturesque as this location may be, beware!!! We visited on Boxing Day afternoon, (26.12.21) experienced a very muddy parking area, found that payment for the car park was was by phone contact, and without any other means of payment that I could see. I had no mobile signal on my phone, my wife didn't have hers with her, so without wishing to breach parking regulations, we left the site. I am now being pursued by Parking Eye who operate the car park payment system for £100 (reduced to £60 if I paid within 14 days) for being on the location for SEVEN MINUTES. As a 75 year old pensioner, I am hardly Usain Bolt, and an appeal for common sense to prevail from Parking Eye has been rejected. A subsequent appeal to the parking operator's industry ombudsman is currently in place! Not the usual Cornish hospiltality we have...

If you own a dog that's prone to yapping at strangers and jumping up at them, keep them on a leash near other people. You don't know what issues those others have.

Yeah first ever visit slightly ruined by the above. Local people too so shame shame. The beach is cool though with plenty of rock pools for exploring and seaweed types to marvel at. Normally there's a shop open and, I guess, toilets but in Covid times there was nothing. Parking near the beach is limited so in the summer be prepared for a bit of a walk from the alternate carpark.

There's George the seal who often shows up towards the right hand end of the beach and has become quite used to humans apparently. Not far from the city of Truro so perfect for an afternoon...

Lovely beach on the South Coast. The sand is very pebbley and the beach would probably be best if you intend on going in the water as it is also quite small. A few times we have hired kayaks and paddle boards and gone onto the water. Their prices are fair. We have also used the cafe and their food is amazing. Everything is set up well to maintain social distancing and keep everything clean. Once we got back from kayaking/paddleboarding, we dipped our buoyancy aids in disinfectant before hanging them up. I recommend this beach if you want to...

Secluded pebble beach, closest to Truro . Suitable for kayaking, rowing, puddling and small designated area for swimming. Car parking owned by unpleasant guy who put charge even for loading boats , £5 for launching. There is a lovely car park near the church on the top of the hill in the village with a splendid serenity views while walking down the beach. The car park charge is charitable recommended £2 and you could stay as long as you wish. God save us all.

Pebble Beach geared towards water sports. Boat yard, launching services, cafe and public loos at the back or boat yard. Access road is tight so be ready to reverse . Small area set aside for swimmers to keep them safe from watercraft. Cafe opening hours can vary with the weather outside high season. Car parking with pay and display machine that takes card payments.

Lovely quiet beach, a very hidden and private place. Car park is limited, and access to private driveways need to be maintained. Also the roads accessing the beach are very tight and inclined, so wide or low cars could have an issues. Otherwise a beautiful place in sunny or overcast weather. Great for fishing or a gentle swim!
