I recently visited the Cliffs of Magho Viewpoint, and I must say, it was an experience like no other. The panoramic views of the surrounding landscape were absolutely breathtaking, with the majestic cliffs standing tall, embracing the serene waters below. The journey to the viewpoint itself was a treat, as the winding roads were lined with lush greenery, setting the perfect tone for what was to come. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the fresh, crisp air and the gentle sound of waves crashing against the cliffs.

What I loved most about this place was its untouched beauty and the sense of tranquility it offered. It was the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life, providing a moment to reflect and appreciate the wonders of nature.

The Cliffs of Magho Viewpoint is a hidden gem that deserves all the praise it can get. Whether you’re a nature lover, a photographer, or just someone in need of a peaceful retreat, this place is definitely worth a visit.

Highly...

Just a beautiful spot for stunning views of "The Broad Lough" section of Lower Lough Erne and surrounding areas from the top of the cliffs of Magho. Looking North from here you can see Boa Island, Lusty More and the more infamous Lusty Beg islands. Looking west you may just see the town of Belleek, and East the town of Kesh. There is a beautifully long and winding forest drive up to the viewpoint. This is dotted with several places to stop and explore on foot, there are also multiple picnic table areas on the way up and down. Keep your speed down on the road as there are parts that are two way traffic, yet only single carriageway. There are passing places, however. Wrap up warm if the weather is cold or windy. The view will not be great in lower...

Spectacular views over Lower Lough Erne. This can be reached in a car through the Lough Navar Forest drive or alternatively you can walk up the very strenuous Cliffs of Magho trail from the carpark at the bottom. There is also a poignant small memorial to Allied aircrew who lost their lives during The Battle of the Atlantic in World War Two at the rear of the car park. The car park is free. I would have given this a five star review if it hadn't been for the litter and a used condom lying in the car park. I would recommend visiting...

I've been here many times in different seasons like summer, autumn, and spring. But this last visit Aug 23, 2021, I've been surprised that there's no single tree left at the carpark. It was very bald at the moment. But apart from that, the picnic table and bench are still there and I was happy to see the panoramic view of the lake and have a walk all the footpath including downhill to the staircase going down to the other carpark below the Magho Cliffs.

We walked the Cliffs of Magho trail to the viewpoint. Really nice walk through the forest but there are lots of very steep steps. We were really glad to see the top. Carpark with toilets at the bottom (no toilet roll left mind you) Very enjoyable walk but definitely tough. We just took lots of breaks. There are a few benches although some of them are a bit broken. There is a carpark at the top as you can also drive up, no facilities there though.
