Necarne is a beautiful old estate on the edge of Irvinestown that includes an equestrian centre, and riding paths. There is an old castle still on the estate grounds. The whole estate is a great place for walking, running or cycling around open fields and forest paths. There is a large free carpark and terrific camping area for caravans equipped with water and electric points. It's not far from Irvinestown, which is a good shopping town and has plenty of places to eat or stay.

A beautiful parkland surrounds the castle. Unfortunately at present there is no access to the actual castle itself. We'll worth a visit.

Necarne Castle has a very long history. Including being used as a hospital during the war for the Americans. It is all closed up but the grounds are beautiful and great for a walk, ride, your bike or horse, picnic or just explore the grounds. There is a Cafe which works out of the back of a converted horse box. They are not there everyday but more information can be found on Facebook. You can walk your dog/s but not many seats and no picnic tables so bring your own. Very secluded and big. Lovely afternoon if weather...
