Sounds interesting in theory and some of it was very interesting, like the embassy siege, artifacts from history, crime etc. However, the tacky element is really off putting. The walls in mostly every room are plastered with tabloid 'wow' stories, like pics of Cameron Diaz having sex, umpteen celebrity boobs, vag, pics. That also makes for an overwhelming assault on the eyes and brain, while not adding to the experience. The replica of Rasputin's penis is a little silly, can't think that's interesting to anyone or authentic. The pics of Chinese men eating human remains/foetus is actually revolting. The beheading pictures are really disturbing, but you are pre-warned. Take away the tacky page 3 type content on the walls and it's a different and interesting way to spend a few hours. Absolutely not for the faint-hearted, but some real time, money and effort has gone into sourcing this stuff and it's certainly thought-provoking.
Remember to take cash as no cards accepted. Staff friendly and helpful. Atmospheric place. Worth a visit, but really, you need to heed the warning...
Read moreIt's hard to explain this attraction, but it's definitely unique!
Pretty much every surface in this place is covered in memorabilia, artifacts, trinkets, oddities, and items. The sheer volume of things to look at is astounding.
There is very little left to the imagination, and the owner is not afraid to open visitors eyes into some of the more dark / less discussed areas of history.
Wouldn't recommend this place if your a bit clumsy, there is a lot of stuff in there, and the layout can be tricky to navigate.
If you want to check out an old jail I would point you elsewher; the building itself (although in keeping with the overall theme of the attraction) looks nothing like a jail on the inside, apart from some cells and doors, but even most of the cells are filled with memorabilia.
Visit this place if you want to challenge your perception of our history, or see some really impressive and unique memorabilia...
