Also known as Polridmouth Cove, this beautiful, secluded bay was deserted on a rainy September afternoon. We found out why; its tricky to find and there is a long walk down from a farm field car park where you put 50p into an old milk churn in exchange for parking until dusk. But it is so worth the trek because when you arrive at this place it is very special. We saw what we thought might be a Cormorant diving into the very calm sea - a perfect swimming place. The South West Coastal Path runs along the beach but be aware there are no toilets, no beach cafe or coffee vendors here. It's just very lovely...
Read moreThis is actually the carpark for Polridmouth cove a secluded rocky cove. You park in this field at the top, drop 50p in the pot on the walk down to the cove. Lovely stoney rocky cove on coastal path. Walk left and there is a slightly larger beach area. There was lots of seaweed when I was there, but we saw parts that where clearer. Read moreTechnically the photo is of Polridmouth Cove, (pronounced Pridmouth by locals), and there's another small beach a few metres to the south west, where the footpath, 800m or 1/2ml, from Menabilly Farm carpark (50p), hits the SW Coast Path, which could be called Menabilly Beach. The beaches face south so are a little sheltered from W or SW winds. No facilities (toilets, shops) available - nearest are in Polkerris...
