City Of Derry Farm and Equestrian Centre — Attraction in Glenkeen

I am now relaxing (stiff and aching!) after a wonderful morning with Pauline, at her Equestrian Centre just outside Derry.

I rode a little as a small child, 45 years ago, and have been hacking a handful of times since. I felt it was time to do more than just plod around in a lifeless convoy, so my seventeen year old daughter and I booked a lesson to help us develop our confidence and independence.

Pauline is a fantastic teacher - professional, friendly, encouraging, technically insightful, generous - and gave us just what we wanted.

The horses, Jasmine and Micky Finn were the best we have been on - beautiful, healthy and intelligent - and were a joy to ride.

We left after just over an hour with an new ease and competence, and with the memory (and photos) of a lovely, fun morning to take away.

If we holiday here again (and we probably will) we will certainly be back. Meanwhile, we will be looking for somewhere to carry riding on as soon as we get home.

We visited Pauline in October and had a three hour tour on horse back which as amazing!!! Not only did we get to see the beautiful landscape from a different vantage point, Pauline was great to give us some local history on the area and buildings we strolled past. The ride was at our pace, so if we wanted to canter or gallop, we could. The horses were great with a nice warm up in the arena before we left on our hack. Afterwards, we had some tea and coffee and a nice chat. I would highly recommend visiting this facility and seeing the area from horseback. Thanks guys for the awesome time...

Absolutely fantastic! It was a very personalised experience perfect for my girlfriend and I who celebrated our 4 year anniversary. The brilliant staff gave us a picnick lunch with personalised gifts for us to take home 😁 all round amazing experience and would recommend for all riders both...
