This has to be one of view points of the Antrim coast experience. Look left to see the image Guinness used of the overlay of the harp symbol at Carrick a Rede. Then look straight beyond the rope bridge, and there is sheep Island. The legend says, this place will fatten 9 feed 10, starve 11. Thats sheep by the way. Then look further, to the east and see the beautiful island of Rathlin, to left of the island is the only known built upside-down light house in this part of the world. Read moreI was so excited to cross the rope bridge (Game of Thrones fans - this is the bridge where Yuron Greyjoy pushed Baylon Greyjoy to his death). Unfortunately the rope bridge was closed, apparently due to covid restrictions which seemed a little excessive as 1. It's out in the open and 2. All restrictions seem to have been lifted in indoor locations. We were however able to get a view of the bridge from a picnic area a little further down the road whilst also enjoying some lovely coastal views. On a clear day you can see as far as Scotland.
