An absolute delight. I'm a big kid at heart, so when my boyfriend surprised me with a trip to Woodlands Alpaca Farm, I couldn't contain my excitement! On arriving, we were met by the lovely Suzie, who is very welcoming and friendly, and also very knowledgeable in her work. She got us set up to walk Rambo the Donkey and one of the many gorgeous Alpacas, and we had an hour, just me and my boyfriend and these beautiful animals. The trust Suzie and the team give to the many visitors they have speaks volumes for how hard they work with these animals everyday to build, and sadly in some cases rebuild trust in humans. Suzie and the team put so much love, time and undivided, around the clock care into these beautiful animals, some of which had a poor start in life, and you can see how far they have brought these animals along. To gain trust in an animal who has been ill treated is immensely difficult, but spending just an hour with Suzie today proved that time, devotion and love can go a long way. Suzie, you and the team should be very, very proud of what you continue to give to these animals ❤️

If you're still reading my mushy ramblings, please do visit this wonderful place - there's evem...

Just spent over 2hrs at the Woodlands Farm Alpacas , what a Fabulous set up , arrived quite early , was let in by Suzie who greeted us with a very warm welcome , didn't mind that we were early ,we were taken to picnic area and allowed to relax and eat our lunch which we had got at Morrisons , an afternoon tea for £12 , ordered 1hr earlier , everywhere spotless , play area and unisex toilets which were absolutely clean , introduced to Alpacas George Rosie and Jasper the baby , Bertie ,Ernie and Bernie , gave them carrots which went down well , met the Donkey Rambo , a couple of Rabbits , Hens and Ducks, we were then taken on a lovely walk with our own Alpaca , Suzie was a mind of information who knows her Alpacas inside out and worth her weight in gold , I had the quietest Alpacas Ernie , friend had Bernie and Em one of volunteers took Bertie along for walk too , would give more stars if I could , well done ladies for a lovely few hours out , also do evening visits where you can take your own food, pizza oven and barbecue from 5pm to 10pm up to 8 people in group for £100 , have tents , chairs etc , have outdoor cinema which you tune into...

Beware the Groupon discount.

I bought a GroupOn voucher for Woodlands Alpaca farm for both my wife and step-daughter which stated I received a 37% discount when in fact when you compare the GroupOn price to that on the Woodlands Alpaca farm site the saving is only £2.50 per person. I was horrified to find on the trip that GroupOn take 60% of the money when you book through them. I know there is a place for GroupOn in raising awareness but 60% is extortionate.

As for the trip itself my wife and step daughter thoroughly enjoyed it. The manager Tom is extremely well mannered, friendly and has a great knowledge/love of alpaca's. He dedicates his life to farm 7 days a week and his enjoyment really did resonate with the family who can't wait to go back. My step daughter even wanted to do her work experience there. The alpacas are both cute and funny, with two of them getting into a spitting fight :-) which was hilarious to watch.

I urge anyone who is thinking of going to give it a try and please try and support the farm by booking direct, which I certainly will be...

We decided to book last minute and go to woodlands Alpaca farm on arrival we where greeted with a smile and a welcome from one of the team members. There was a lovely cat that also greeted us with a smile. We spent some time chatting about the different animals on the farm and gave the animals a little bit of food we met the chickens, rabbits, pigs, Horses, goats and alpacas with the staff and we then went on a walk with the alpacas. Susie was our staff guide for the walk. Susie was very pleasant and chatted throughout the walk about the alpacas and all the animals to be fair it was excellent. I walked with Jasper and bow they where really calm and pleasant, Jasper has his own personality but in a good way bow was easy going on the walk. There was four of us attending and we would definitely recommend for family’s to go it’s a pleasant experience bringing you close to animals and nature thanks Susie and team.

I took my son and two friends here this weekend for his 12th birthday "party". Not only did they love it but so did I! I knew it would be enjoyable but I had not realised how much fun and positive it would be. The farm is really well run, all the animals are clearly cared for and very friendly. Suzie our "guide" and the other staff were really friendly and answered questions and gave good direction making us feel comfortable. We were very fortunate with the weather for October and had beautiful sunshine which meant we could appreciate the scenery and outdoors too, but I'm certain we'd have loved it even in the wet and cold. Being with the alpacas, getting to feed, pet and walk them was fabulous, but it was also enjoyable spending time with the other animals too. I definitely recommend and think this is great for children and adults! The walk is very gentle and fairly short so suitable for most people.
