Cardhu Distillery — Attraction in Great Britain

The tour of CARDHU Distillery was not only extremely informative but fun and very enjoyable too. Zoe, our guide, took us through the history from its early days of Helen Cummings hiding her stills from the tax man, right up-to-date. The aromas and sights within the distillery were a wonderful experience for the senses. Everywhere was impeccably presented - obviously a big company can afford to furnish the tour area to a high standard - but even so, we felt like we were getting real five star service. The tour finished with a wonderful tasting experience. It actually felt like a private dining room in a swanky hotel, very plush and we felt extremely special. I was driving so I could only sniff and have a very small taste of the whiskeys, however there was a non-alcoholic cocktail for me to try. Also the distillery provided dinky little driver packs to take away so that I could decant my whiskey tots into small bottles which were labelled so that I know which is which when I get back home. From the beginning to the end of our visit everything was absolutely perfect and Zoe went over and above to make everybody feel welcome. She’s an excellent ambassador...

Our visit to Cardhu Distillery was a real pleasure and an unforgettable experience. Located in the picturesque Speyside area, this distillery impressed me not only with its exceptional whiskey but also with its rich history that dates back to 1824 and how a brave woman fought and immortalized her work. Every minute spent there immersed me in the world of traditional Scotch whiskey and made me appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into its production. Our guide, Anna, was simply amazing! She possessed a deep knowledge of the distillery's history and whiskey making processes, which she shared with great enthusiasm and passion. Anna guided us through every stage of production, explaining the complex processes with ease and comprehensibility. Her stories were filled with interesting facts that made the tour even more fascinating. Thanks to Anna, I was able to understand and feel how much work and attention to detail goes into each bottle of whiskey that comes out of Cardhu. Her warm attitude and professionalism created an atmosphere where we felt part of the history of the distillery. Visiting the Cardhu Distillery was one of the most interesting experiences of my trip to Scotland, and Anna made the tour unforgettable. I recommend anyone who has the opportunity to visit this place and immerse themselves in the magic of Scotch whisky.

Тя притежаваше дълбоки познания за историята на дестилерията и процесите на производство на уиски, които споделяше с голям ентусиазъм и страст. Анна ни водеше през всеки етап от производството, като обясняваше сложните процеси с лекота и разбираемост. Very nice facilities and very entertaining and enriching tour. Very professionally guided by Ian. We were in 3 friends and we booked the Cardhu Collection Tour online in advance. I had to change the dates a few weeks before the tour because of changes of circumstances but was all done perfectly. The facilities and the tour are great and the selection of Whisky's at the end is really variated and tasty. It is the only distillery were we got 6 samples. On the other we got maximum 3 for the same sort of price...so this is really also good value for money. I am not an expert but the Whisky's were all good and each one with it's own character. We got the driver's kit bottles for our designated driver. The shop is also well sourced in drinks and gifts. We bought some chocolate, pencil and a nice Cardhu / Columbia jacket a a fair price.
