Our first trip to Dalscone was such a success, we returned 5 days later!

We were greeted by friendly staff who checked our booking and took time to explain some of the features of the park and gave us our bearings.

Food was of an excellent standard and there was a wide range of savoury and sweet options with lots on the menu for kids to choose from. We were served with a smile and the food was quick to arrive despite the café being busy. The level of hygiene was impeccable across the Diner and in the soft-play area. Indoors there are lots for children to do – the farm-themed soft play has a football area, slides and lots of space for children to enjoy running and climbing. Also indoors are a toddler section for younger tots and an area for ride-on vehicles.

Outside, there are so many kid-friendly options: sandpits, crazy golf, swings, floating bumper cars, go-karts, trampolines, tubing and a massive new slide.

We visited in April during the Easter Holidays when they had additional activities laid on for children.

There is plenty of seating inside and out so that families can enjoy a coffee or meal while supervising their children. Despite it being a busy day, the park never felt crowded and tables or benches were often available. Across the whole park, it was spotless and very well maintained with staff taking care of the grounds and the visitors.

The farm itself was very well managed and the animals are obviously well cared for. With goats, sheep, donkeys, llamas, meerkats, tortoises, horses and more there are lots of animals that you can pet and help to feed. The farm is kept clean so no messy muddy floors and the whole area is wheelchair and buggy friendly.

We visited during the “Lambing Live” event and the school bell was rung several times to alert visitors to live lambing and kidding. The farmers were all very knowledgeable, engaging and entertaining and offered commentary on the lambing/kidding over loudspeakers to help explain more about life on a farm. We were lucky enough to see several births and feed some pet lambs their milk bottles. The farmers all generously answered questions about their animals, farm and farm life and obviously seem to enjoy sharing their love of all creatures great and small with their visitors.

Dalscone Farm Fun is a great place for families who want to entertain and educate their children come rain or shine. We met lots of visitors to Scotland from overseas who had heard about the park and wanted to make a special trip to Dalscone. Clearly, Dalscone is popular with many!

We were so enchanted with Dalscone Farm Fun that we returned 5 days later for another fantastic, five-star, day out. And will return...

Really, really good value for money, would go back again and spend much longer as so much to see and do! Seemed on the dearer side before we arrived but can say for sure now that it's worth every single penny. The selection was excellent, something for all ages and it was a joy to watch the excitement the farms activities brought to my child.

Wondered initially why I was paying a pound less than my child to go to the farm but turned out that there were also activities adults could join in with and the tickets were easily 'paid' for with just the rubber ring slide and pedal cart track rides in my opinion.

Animals are very well cared for and seem happy. The staff caring for the were knowledgeable and seemed to be very attentive to the animals needs.

Food and drink is great. Notably, smoothies seemed to be of really high quality, not just bulked out with bananas- it's the small things that make the difference when buying food out!

Machines that give you coins via contactless card payments for the water balloons and water dodgems are such a great idea, rather than having to worry about remembering to bring cash with you.

Staff are so attentive, the place was very clean and staff were always making sure tables were wiped down and any spare crumbs from the ( delicious) cupcakes that escaped were vacuumed up promptly. Staff are also very friendly and conversational.

All play equipment and facilities were in good condition and maintained.

Toy shop was such a great touch, not too expensive and a very good range particularly for Lego fans!

Strawberries and raspberries for sale at Toy shop entrance were very tasty, highly recommend, had to peel them away from my partner before he demolished the lot before we had left the car park.

Will definitely be coming back here, best play area in south West Scotland for sure.

Leave around 4/5 hours to properly look around/play and maybe bring a spare pair of clothes for anyone wanting to do the...

Absolutely love Dalscone Farm! I visit both as an adult to see the animals and take photos of them, and with my godchildren, nieces and nephews for family days out and Dalscone ticks every box, every time. Very reasonable entry fees as so much is included once you get in from soft play, slides, golf, trampolines, sand pit (which is a huge hit with us haha), animal handling sessions. Yes you have to pay extra for a couple of the electronic rides or to buy animal food but it is not a necessity and nor is it pushed on you to do so. Plenty to do for all ages (yes even adults can play and many do!). Unleash your childish side for a day - go on I dare you haha! There is a large variety of animals all who are very friendly and able to be hand fed and stroked by adults and children alike from donkeys to sheep, goats to llamas. And in the small animal house there’s an array of wonderful creatures to discover and get up close with - ever wanted to hold a tortoise or feed a bearded dragon his dinner?! You can now! Food is well priced and delicious, not your average fast food thrown together which is common of these places. You can get something freshly made for you which is tasty and filling. But don’t forget the ice cream and sweet treats too - trust me the cake cabinet selection makes it a hard choice! I also want to take a moment to say how impeccably clean everything is, I have never been inside a soft play that genuinely feels clean before but this one does. Overall over many visits for over a year now I continue to be impressed with Dalscone and I continue to choose it for days out and I will well into the future I’m sure. Keep up the great work each and...

Our 1st visit but certainly not our last! We had the most wonderful day, the first thing we noticed was everywhere was absolutely spotless, as we were having coffee before the park opened we witnessed all of the play equipment/pedal cars etc all being thoroughly checked (bolts/ropes etc) We had 3 or 4 drinks and a toasted sandwich the day we were there and the next morning before we drove the 5 hours home we came in and had the best egg, bacon and tattie scone roll. The bacon was plentiful and cooked so well, no sad looking, pale bacon here! It was delicious and very good value. We even boxed up a few of the yummy cakes to take home. Mainly we came to see the animals but if you have children there are so many lovely things to do and see. We really enjoyed our 2 animal experiences with Riley and Craig and learnt so much, well worth doing if you visit, check which ones are available online, they aren't all on every day. All of the staff, every single member are so friendly and really did make our visit. The animals are all so well cared for and we spent a good few hours just sitting watching the baby pygmy goats leaping about and having fun, honestly it was the best way to spend time. The whole place is an absolute credit to the Best family and their staff and I couldn't recommend this place highly enough. Ps The toy/gift shop is an absolute must before you leave, set yourself a limit or better still don't as there are so many unique things to buy as well as Merchandise and Lego...lots of Lego. Best day out in a long time and worth a 5 hour drive.
