Stunning natural geology that is enhanced by a clean gravel beach and clean seas, the archway is mesmerising when you appreciate the process of its formation and the time involved in this. Even before you reach the the cliff top over looking Durdle Door, the walk down takes you along a preceeding cliff that over looks Man of War, a similarly impressive naturally created bay. One thing to consider is the walk down to these breathtaking sites, it is a considerable journey especially the trip back to the car park. My tip would be to be there for Sunset, the arch is illuminated and shows all the colour and texture that isn't prevalent until about 2 hours before sundown, it enhances the...

My favourite part of the island of Portland. I walk here every morning 🌄, but more on the top part of the East Weare side. I watch the sunrise every day when it rises. Such beautiful colours and truly amazing site. Lovely walk along the coast path One of Portland...

Nice coastal path walk - it does currently state the footpath is closed but you can get round it. Just to add - you cannot see Durdle Door from the site, not sure why there are pictures of it on here. Lovely walk...
