This is the best place if you need to exercise your dog on its own or dogs who know each other well.

I have a very reactive dog to the point he will try and drag me over a busy road to get to another dog. He has actually pulled me over 3 times.

So, going to Flaxton Dog Park, you have a choice of parking just outside the field, or you can drive just into the field. We go through the gate, which has a 4 digit combination code you are given on the by confirmation email when you book. You will also get a reminder email 24 hours before your booked slot. AlI bookings are online and it is so easy to set up.

When you arrive, you have the option of driving into the field, but I prefer to park outside. Once we get into the field, I set him free and he flies.

Sounds silly but if there are dogs in the other field (there is a gap between the fences of each field), he loves to chatter with them and run up and down the fence line with them. The fence makes him feel secure. It is a high secure fence surrounding the whole field

In the field there is a picnic table as you walk in, a poo bag dispenser and poo bin. Also, some hay bales they can climb on, agility equipment; a tube to run through and some poles which they can zig zag through. There are also 3 different sized sets of tires set in the ground at various heights.

At the top of the field, the area in the middle has been left for the grass to grow. There is a path all the way round it and also through it.

The field is about an acre and a half, so plenty of space and you can book them for half hour or hour slots at a time. It's just so easy and we...

Supposed to be a secure park, I have a smaller dog and she got out under the gate, she ran up the road, the other direction is the main road. I contacted the owners, they said cars had driven through and made a gap! They offered a refund but I never heard from them again, no refund received. I have not been back to see if they have improved the gate. There are better parks ie. Wigginton Road, with much more activities for your dogs in them and very secure with...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4.5/5 I'm a little bias to this one as we go here often. Although it is a standard dog park the maintenance of this park is what stands out to me, every time we visit it is immaculately well maintained. You can tell the owners really do take pride in the parks. Flaxton dog park is a lovely dog park, there are 2 fields with good basic facilities. Park 2 has direct tap access, Park 1 has tap access in the car park. Location: 📍Flaxton Cross Ln, York YO060 7QZ * Ample parking for cars, able to drive into the dog park 🚗 * Quiet village with easy access from the A64 * There is sometimes livestock nearby in the next field so be aware if your dog is reactive to this. The same applies that sometimes the other field next door can be booked with other dogs, the fences are NOT direct to each other there is a strip inbetween however the dogs can still see each other. Maintenance: * Really well maintained, cut grass, fresh bales all equipment in good condition * Clean and tidy, no signs of poop or mess. There is a poo bin and bags available Facilities: * Tap for water * In field parking * LOVE the toys/training equipment on site * Good range of tyres, hay bales, tunnels etc * Picnic bench for those who want to have their lunch 🥪 * No outdoor hut/shed so bring an umbrella and wellies if you plan a rainy day Size: * Two parks: we visited park 2 both parks are 1.4 acre Cost: * £12 for one hour, £6 for 30 mins. #NorthYorkshire #York #Flaxton #dogsoftiktok #FYP #RescueDog #reactivedog #DogField
