Place is OK, somehow feel far away from city. Lighthouse looks like private, without access to it. Attraction look like, get to the place by 25 min walk, propably faster without baby prams. Stand in front of lighthouse, make picture, see water face, take deep breaths and that's it, you did it.. Without sherpas and bottle of oxygen reached the point. Congratulations adventurer.

I did not expected more, just boring place but...

Hale village lighthouse can be reached via Church Rd , passing the church and through the walkway between two farming fields. The lighthouse is situated on private land and is someone's home. Please refrain from allowing dogs 🐕 on the fields as birdlife nesting in season . Some information boards and a great walk for those wishing to follow the banks...

We walked down the long path towards the lighthouse. You get a great view of the river and there's a path along the river to walk as well. Great for peace and quiet or birdwatching. The lighthouse is a private house so you can't go in. Lovely walk on a sunny day. You can't park near the gate to the path, but there's on the road parking further up...

A beautiful spot on the banks of the Mersey. The lighthouse was built to replace an earlier structure in 1906. It marks a particularly hazardous spot on the river. It was decommissioned in 1958 since river traffic had declined and shifted to the canal on the opposite bank. A private house now stands at the base of the lighthouse.

A good photography location, particularly with a good sunset. Shame certain visitors don’t respect the area, as there’s a lot of litter that has clearly been dropped/deposited. (Not from the river.)
