Hedon Secure Dog Walking Field — Attraction in Great Britain

Hedon Secure Dog Walking field is excellent. We use it regularly with our two dogs. You can be sure the fences are safe and secure, they are checked regularly. There is, what I call an 'air lock' entry, allowing you to drive your car into the parking space, close the gate, locking yourself in, before opening the inner gate directly into the field and letting your dogs out of the car. If you have runners like we do, this is invaluable. If you don't want to use this or are on foot, there's also a pedestrian entry. There are plenty of dog poo bins and even poo bags dispensers. Most people are really good at complying. The owner monitors CCTV and chases offenders up. There's also cones around for you to place near any rogue poo, should you find any. To be honest, if I do, I simply pick it up myself. There's fresh running water, plenty of bowls, so pooch can get a drink as well as a shelter for bad weather and a couple of picnic tables too. There's proper dog agility equipment for your dog to play on. There's even a huge clock to help you ensure you keep to your appointment time, which are half hour slots, though you can book consecutive slots if you want. Lovely large field, easy to find. Largest secure field we've been to. My dog had a great run around chasing his ball and sniffling around. However, upon arriving the gate was already unlocked and the padlock did not work to secure the gate when we were in the field or when leaving. There is also a lot of cracks in the ground, which is explained on a sign when entering however I was worried my dog was going to snap a leg the whole time (thankfully he was fine) and then there is the big poo problem. There is a system to place a cone if you find dog poo in the field so the owners can remove and check to see who was responsible. Well, we quickly ran out of cones as the place was covered in it. Even picked up some but gave up on that. People are absolutely disgusting, to pay to hire out a field for your dog but then can't bother themselves to pick up after them or are probably to busy on their phones to notice their dogs are...

Such a great place for us and our 3 dogs. This dog field was an answer to our prayers. Our previously reliable lab missed out on socialisation during lock downs so we needed a safe place for her to run free without the distraction of dogs she doesn't know. The field is so well drained that the winter weather does not prevent us exercising. Poo bags and disposal units are provided. A lovely covered area provides shelter if necessary and outside tables and chairs as well. The security is excellent with double entry into field meaning that the dogs can safely jump out car into hard standing parking area. Can't recommend...
