First time visit to jura Park and what a disappointment! Having been to all the dog parks in ayrshire, we thought we would try this Park but it's an empty field, nothing supplied for £12.50 it's a waste of money. It's vastly overpriced! Compared to other parks its probably the worst we have visited. There's no pictures on the website so you don't know what your booking! Wouldn't recommend the jura park.
Edit - we decided to try one of the other parks due to it having some apparatus, we booked the harris park for an hour, although slightly better, it was quite muddy and you have to park the car across in the carpark but what we witnessed was shocking. We arrived 5 mins before our slot and seen a couple with a dog go in to the park we had booked and let the dog run about, we stood outside the park for 10 mins with them just staring at us, we were confused at this point but then they walked out just smiling at us, never to say a word, so we thought it was odd but we watched them hang about the gates of the other parks and overheard them saying noones in this park but we'll come back in 10 mins, clearly they have the codes foe the gates at just hang about to see if they can get in the parks for free when they are not being used, this is shocking behaviour. They did come back and walk about looking in all the parks but they were all full by this time so they went away. The woman has blonde hair, the man has dark hair, both in there 60s, the dog is white and black and fluffy, if you see them please...
Read moreUsed this park 5/6 times in the past few week and as an enclosed dog field I really rate it, it’s always quite well maintained. Unfortunately I am going to stop using these fields now as there’s been a couple of incidents of my dog fixating on the dogs in other fields, with the other dogs doing the same. These fields and set ups are a great concept but unfortunately let them self down with how close and visible the dogs in the next field are, particularly how close the Jura field is to the other ones with only a bit of fabric to reduce visibility. It’s also a bit hard to get to Skye park as you need to walk the whole length of Harris park to enter.
On a whole these parks are good if your dogs not do reactive, the parks are maintained and have plumbed in water supply and rain shelter, however improvements are really needed in regards to the proximity and visibility...
Read moreArrived at the car park and it was badly flooded, when I went to the Harris Park gate someone was already in it, I waited until my time slot started and as I was about to phone the number on the board the couple came out the gate with there dog, after I entered and closed the gate I noticed they were going round all the fields checking the gates and seeing if any were not in use, eventually they went to the car park. This put me on edge a-little. Due to where the fields are situated it can get water logged so please bare this in mind when booking you definitely need a pair of wellies and a coat for your dog but other than that my dogs had a great time...
