Splotts Moor Farm — Attraction in Great Britain

Our wedding at Splotts Moor Farm was everything we wanted, thanks to the incredible team that went above and beyond to bring our vision to life. They even created an enchanting entrance with vintage doors that opened to reveal the aisle as we’d seen on Pinterest. Although it rained during the ceremony, they ensured everything went off without a hitch. They provided dry seating for guests and made sure everyone had umbrellas so they could enjoy the moment comfortably, turning into a charming, cozy experience.

The venue itself was breathtaking, with an oak-framed marquee set against a beautiful outdoor backdrop and gorgeous fields and gardens. We had access to a wide selection of inside and outside decorations that allowed us to personalise every detail. From vintage lanterns to elegant table decor, they had everything we needed to create the look we wanted.

Hilary and Gordon, the wonderful owners, went above and beyond to make our day truly special. They were always available to answer our questions and provided excellent suggestions and advice that brought our vision to life. Their friendly, caring approach made us feel like family from the start. For anyone looking for a beautiful, welcoming venue run by people who genuinely care, we cannot recommend Splotts Moor Farm enough. It was everything we dreamed of and more.

From the first time we visited the farm with my wife's 90 year old grandmother, the way they looked after us then (especially making such amazing effort with her) was a clear sign that this was the only place for us to get married. Hollie, Hilary and Gordon could not have done more for us - despite Covid postponing our day, we were in close contact throughout and they always gave us their full attention, as well as the space we needed to figure things out as we went along. No amount of visits and zoom calls were too many, and they always knew how to reassure us when things got difficult! The venue itself is absolutely beautiful and we used the range of spaces - from our ceremony under the oak tree in the garden, to the wooden marquee with views over the hills, guests camping in the field, photoshoots in the maize fields, games in the stone circle and fire pits in the night garden - not to mention staying in the house for five days with our family and friends. This isn't a place to go for a 'package wedding' - but if you want to work with them to create something unique and wholly your own, this is the venue for you. This is a magical place. Something about the Tor, the views across open fields and the hosts - We fell in love with Splotts Moor farm and Hilary, Gordon and Hollie as soon as we visited. They helped us achieve the greatest wedding day we could imagine. We made use of the beautiful mature garden, the stone circle, the main field, the oak framed marquee and had bell tents pitched on site by the company Pitch. This wedding venue offers so much flexibility, fun and informality but the team are there to support with everything and are able to make it would seem, dreams come true.
