This dog park is FANTASTIC! The large site is split into 4 sections. Firstly the car park area, once you are inside. This leads into an exercise area with short grass for Zoomies. This leads into the main area. Long grass with paths cut into it, a shelter, two willow tunnels, numerous native trees, a bug hotel and more! It's all been created for the enjoyment of the dogs, the people and inviting for nature. Wonderful! The final small enclosure has solid agility equipment. Each section has escape proof gates so you can contain your hound in the bit you're in! I was able to let off the lead, my rescue Podenco, knowing she could sniff and hunt to her hearts content without escaping! My elderly lurcher could wander without getting tired as the land is flat. My whippet could run, sniff, play with his ball and relax. Water points in the big bit and the zooming area. Lots of bins. You get 50 mins which is ideal. Looking forward to booking again(on the easy booking system) and going regularly. Thank you. Sadly no photos as we were enjoying ourselves too much...
Read moreTaunton Dog Park is brilliant and has had a lot of thought put into it to make it the best experience for our dogs.
A roomy parking area with a hose and drinking station, an area with short grass for ball playing, a large area for exploring (long grass, a shelter, willow tunnels, a bug hotel, a range of paths mowed, a range of trees planted, poop bins and drinking station), as well as an area for agility with equipment soon to be set up. The views of The Quantock Hills are also fab. You really feel at peace due to the quiet location (no roads nearby other than where you turn into the parking area) - The dogs absolutely loved it!
The owner (Maz) came by on arrival to introduce herself and tell us about the dog park which was a lovely touch.
I can’t wait to return not only with my own dog but with client dogs too (Countryside Trails & Waggy Tails).
What a brilliant facility to have and...
Read moreA wonderful, safe and stress free place to exercise your dog(s). The exercise areas are very large with solid fencing. I love Maz and Dave's innovative idea of the first field you enter being an area where most dogs relieve themselves ......after a good sniff around my girls are ready to enter the main field for their exercise. Wild flowers , covered seating area, fresh running water for dogs to drink & paddle, plentiful dog waste bins, amazing backdrop scenery, and a separate agility field......Taunton Dog Park really have put their heart and soul into making this place the jewel of dog parks. My girls slept like logs afterwards. If you haven't already, book up and give it a go- your dogs will...
