A must visit place. I reached here on a rainy day while sleeping in my bus and my first reaction on opening my eyes was "am i in heaven??".

This stunning beauty of Scotland and heavenly scenic view point is connected with a barberic past history and an interesting story of faith and betrayal.

MacDonald -the largest of the highland clans, the Gaelic first name "Domnuill" was anglicised to "Donald". The family was founded in the Isle of Islay and then extended their influence to the Scottish mainland. The grandson of the founder, "John of Islay" came to be known as Lord of the Isles and the dan grew in strength until defeated in battle by King James IV in 1493. The clan then fragmented into smaller regional clans of MacDonalds, Clan Donalds, Clanranald and MacDonnells.

One of the most traumatic episodes in the MacDonalds history was the "Massacre of Glencoe" which commenced at Sam 13th February 1692 under the command of Robert Campbell of Glenlyon, with 120 men of the Earl of Argyles foot regiment. The Three Sisters of Glencoe are truly breathtaking โ€” three mighty ridges rising like natureโ€™s own catwalk models, draped in green and mist, posing for every tourist camera within a mile. They look incredible from every angle, and honestly, you could just sit there for hours soaking it all in.

Howeverโ€ฆ first, you must complete the sacred Highland challenge: finding a parking space. Itโ€™s a bit like musical chairs, but with rental cars, campervans, and people who apparently learned to park from YouTube tutorials.

Once you finally bag yourself a spot, the entertainment continues. Sit back, sip your coffee, and watch the next wave of drivers try to wedge their vehicles into spaces two sizes too small, while their passengers jump out with cameras before the carโ€™s even fully stopped. Itโ€™s the kind of people-watching you didnโ€™t know you needed.

In short: the scenery is jaw-dropping, the parking is chaos, and the live comedy show in the car park is free with...

OMG what a place ! I was there about three years ago but want to come back! Whole A82 driving from Loch Lomond to Glencoe is unforgettable ( or the other way -we did both ). We didn't have much time , only about 10 days to visit whole Scotland with our camper so if you are like us, go here, have a night out here. There was only three of us and when you wake up next morning the view is like magic... I wish we had more time like otner people to stop here and hike for few days. But anyway I wish you great time. P.S. I love to talk to people, that white van on picture , two brits having interesting hobby, they take parachutes, pack up, climb to nearest mountains and jump down. They just came back from one jump and camped next to us. Parachute jumping does not have to be expensive, hire helicopter or so... , and Toyota Yaris a couple of students camping in with us for a...
