We stayed here last year and had a much better time, not sure what’s changed, but it’s turned into an unfriendly place to be. Beware if you have older guests who aren’t tech-savvy.||We stayed in Cedar Falls 2, a lovely and spacious lodge that was perfect for our group of five. Unfortunately, the overall experience was very disappointing due to poor communication, unhelpful staff, and a general lack of care for holidaymakers.||We weren’t told at check-in that non-homeowners can’t use the pool until after 10am and that all pool sessions must be booked via an app. This wasn’t explained properly, and the booking system is confusing. It asks for an £8 payment per session unless you enter a unique code hidden in the booking email, easily missed, especially by older guests. I wouldn’t be surprised if they count on guests paying without realising.||We were turned away from the pool multiple times, including with children despite it clearly not being full. Many booked slots went unused, yet we were still refused entry.||When we asked to speak with the General Manager, we were told he wasn’t available. |At one point, the receptionist (Tara) laughed when I explained we couldn’t access the app. She claimed all instructions were sent in advance, but my elderly parents who made the booking missed it and couldn’t use the pool at all during the stay. No one offered help or alternatives. They did not use the pool instead they travelled to the sister site as the staff were more helpful. ||We were also asked to pay a £5 deposit just to get a second key, which seemed unreasonable considering two families were sharing the lodge. The coffee machine didn’t work, and while we got replacement batteries for the remote, it only happened after we asked.||The restaurant food was overpriced and average, and the entire site clearly favours homeowners over paying holidaymakers. Customer service was poor throughout, and we felt more like a problem than welcomed guests.||For the price, this was a seriously disappointing stay. The lodge itself is lovely, but the experience was frustrating, and the staff’s attitude unacceptable. We won’t be returning, and we...

We booked a lodge which we thought it was going to be a relaxing break away |but how very wrong we were ! I had a strange comment from the stand in receptionist about what time we arrived even though it wasn't late !We were given the direction to where our lodge was but we found out that was marked wrong on the map so we couldn't the lodge ! It took us nearly 20 minutes to find the lodge. When we finally found the lodge, it was built on a very steep hill the turning point into the parking space outside the lodge was so tight you can only drive in but informed later that you are meant to reverse back down the hill when leaving! I think this method of driving is ridiculous and dangerous I am surprised that there haven't be an accident. After an eventful arrival and check in we decided to use the hot tub only find that there was scum lines which looked like fake tan on the inside of the tub you can actually see more scum collecting at the far end of the tub!! So I guess the tub have not been cleaned properly from the previous guests yuck !!|After seven nights here we were so glad to be going home and NO WE WILL NOT BE...

Our lodge needed some good maintenance, sofa bottom falling out! Also, housekeeping left a bit to be desired, dirty mugs, tooth mug & soap dish, dead flies on bedroom windowsill racks of food/ sauces/flavourings left. Some were out of date in 2022! Also toilet had to be repaired on 1st & 2nd day of our visit. We did complain & got vouchers ( which we used in the restaurant, ( the food is delicious) but nothing from housekeeping!! A minor issue is supermarket food delivery, not allowed to deliver to your lodge but which you have to collect from main car park - take some bags! Beautiful sea views from balcony, but we felt the outdoor furniture wasn't first rate. As we paid about £3 k for one week I expected better. The final issue for us, with my grandchild was the pool opening hours, 10-4pm, which if you've been out & about means no pool on return, which you do have to...

Stayed here over the Easter weekend in Kingfisher 25 which was definitely one of the older lodges. Nonetheless, we (2 couples) had a wonderful weekend and it was the perfect base for us to be able to go cycling and hiking from. Loved the addition of a little welcome package and towels and they were very accomodating of late arrivals. Although heavily discounted (due to last minute booking) I think we would have been disappointed having paid full price in comparison to seeing other lodges and not being told in advance that some Facilities (i.e. The Pool) were closed and also, restaurant opening hours weren't obviously advertised. We visited the pub down the road The Smugglers though which was excellent. Would recommend for a long weekend away but beware the by 9:30am checkout which caught us off guard

Lovely camp site with great sea views , although everything about this site was lovely, I do think for no ehu, it was expensive. Shop is fully stocked with grocery. Fresh bread and rolls delivered daily, bit if your not there at 8am when the shop opens you will miss out.
