The Wookey Wild experience was certainly a once in a life time experience with a number of bucket list moments. It made caving, which is otherwise an extreme sport, accessible for the average adventurer.
Chris our guide and pinoneer of the Wookey Wild experience, was extremely knowledgeable akin to a tour guide throughout our adventure amongst the caves. Learnt a lot about the history, geology, physics and mythology of the caves ( all super interesting stuff).
He took Free photos throughout (though obviously not professional) it was a real bonus to help keep those memories for life and not put your own device at risk.
Though do be warned this experience is not for the light hearted it was very challenging both mentally and physically. Do read the description and be sure to wear hiking shoes.
Highly recommend to anyone visiting Somerset, thoroughly enjoyed the experience and felt safe the whole way through.
Huge thank you to all the...

When we arrived at the caves, Chris was clear and precise in instructions but also managed to put us at ease as we had never done caving before. As we were going around the caves, Chris also made a point of picking up any litter he saw, which we appreciated. You can tell that he loves caving, is really informative about caves and caving, and has a passion for maintaining it's beauty.
Once in the caves, it can be quite daunting with quite tight spaces that you have to army crawl through. However, it was really good fun caving, with the climbing, crawling, abseiling, boat ride and zip line. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting to experience caving. We thoroughly enjoyed our day caving and have learnt a lot more about Wookey Hole and caving in...
Read moreWas a little worried after booking. Myself and the husband aren't the fittest of people in the world and after reading a little bit more into it (albeit a little too late to do anything about it) I was concerned we may not make it through the caves.....not fit in the harness, get stuck in a tight hole, die of a heart attack on the way round etc etc. Well, we made it! We were knackered after and I imagine being fitter would have made it easier, but it was great fun nonetheless and the guide Becca was great and her passion for the caves, and caving in general helped in making it an interesting adventure! Despite a torn ligament in my knee (accident prone) we both thoroughly enjoyed our experience and would recommend anyone that is thinking about doing it to just...
