Beckstones Art Gallery — Attraction in Greystoke

The previous reviewer has I suspect made a wrong turn and missed the gallery altogether. The signs clearly state that the May exhibition opens on May 14th but regardless, it would have been open for all the other excellent artists. Follow the signs carefully and you will find this jewel of a gallery in a tiny hamlet near Greystoke. From March all through summer and Autumn it is open every day from 10.00am and one of the two proprietors is always there, no hired hands to mislead you. A great little gallery with two very helpful owners who are always very welcoming. They have built up a range of talented artists who they work with to provide a range of paintings and exhibitions. Styles of paintings vary but the owners describe them as fine art rather than just decorative, which I think is very apt for they quality of their exhibitions. Visited this Gallery set in a beautiful location and had initially gone to buy a specific oil painting. As this venue is in the middle of no where I had cause to want to use a toilet. I was told “ we don’t have public toilets” . I have a medical condition and have a NHS card stating so. But given the attitude just wanted to get of the Gallery asap. Great Gallery.
