Ah, let me regale you with tales of Clanger Wood, tucked away near Westbury in good ol' Wiltshire. Now, if you fancy a romp through a woodland maze where the trees gossip and the mud threatens to swallow your wellies whole, then Clanger Wood is the place for you!
First off, let's talk about those "nice, well-marked paths." It's like following breadcrumbs through the forest, only instead of breadcrumbs, it's random twigs someone's hastily painted with neon orange spray paint. If you're lucky, you might even stumble upon a signpost that's not leaning at a 45-degree angle, bless its heart.
But oh, beware! Venture too far off the beaten path, and you'll find yourself knee-deep in the infamous Clanger Quagmireβ’οΈ. It's like quicksand's quirky cousin β sucks you in with a smile and leaves you giggling like a loon as you try to wrestle your shoe from its clutches.
Now, onto the piΓ¨ce de rΓ©sistance β the view across fields at the back of the wood. Ah, it's like staring into the soul of Wiltshire itself. Rolling hills, endless greenery, and the occasional cow giving you the stink eye as if to say, "What're you lookin' at, mate?"
So, in conclusion, Clanger Wood: where the paths are as clear as mud, the mud is as deep as your patience, and the views are as delightful as a pint of cider on a sunny afternoon. Cheers to that, and may your adventures in Clanger Wood be filled with laughter, muddy boots, and memories to chuckle about for...

There is still a lot of wildlife....we saw deer tracks and heard numerous birds. A good place for butterflies and wild flowers. No toilets. Disabled access only by contacting Woodland...

The car park is tiny and this place gets very busy. We came across lots of people on the main path but found it much quieter and didn't come across anyone when we followed one of the little pathways into woodland.
Great for...
