Steep walk but lovely view. Family walk to Lantern Pike was glorious. It is a steep walk but the views at the top are most worth it. A few narrow paths made the social distancing awkward but doable. Finally, avoid the middle of the day heat as it can get very warm!

Outdoor NT volunteer ranger I go to Lantern Pike to check it out, clear away any litter. Amazing views & possible to do a loop walk over the hill back to Hayfield or alternatively turn left towards Rowath...

I've managed to hike Lantern pike two birthdays in a row! Lived local most of my life yet never knew it was here until about 3 years ago. Now it's a regular walk. Though a strenuous one!

Amazing find after we branched off the Pennine Way. Beautiful day after storm Dennis. Sheltered on the climb but full exposed at the top!
