5 stars for the place itself but hardly 1 star for the coffee shop. Visit April 2025, coffee was £3.20 and as others mention you need to help yourself to it from the machine. I thought it was overpriced for what it was. A pizza was £12 but it wasn’t bad at all. Parking for 4 hours was £8 a bit much if you ask me. We bought a ball for our kid to play with. On the price tag it was a 1 and then a dot or a dash with a 19 afterwards. They charged me £1.19 but they said with a bitter voice that they should charge me much more than that but they’ll let me go this time. Did she mean she should’ve charged the 19 quid and ignore the pound sign, number 1 and the dot after it? Who knows but I found their remark misplaced and unnecessary. I wouldn’t have paid anyway 19 quid for a bouncy ball, come on! Will return though as the lake and the surroundings are great but will avoid the cafe as it’s a rip off and will try to park somewhere...

Lovely area for walks and picnics. The play area is great and the bouncy pillow is a great addition. The only downside is the The cafe and loos and that surrounding area, needing a little TLC. Although the food in the cafe was actually much better than I thought, we actually all enjoyed what we had so couldn't fault it. it feels a little sad in side. Could be due to the season and one part looking shut, but it's not nice to sit in seeing half of the cafe looking like storage! Also the grounds were full of weeds, so again not nice to sit around. Would also like to see free parking for disabled. Pretty good wheelchair access, although some paths turn really gravelly, so hard to push we did have to turn around and the loo looks like a bit forgotten, but clean. Prefer this in the summer, so you can enjoy picnics around the grassy areas. But my little boy...

This is a lovely visitor centre very close to Gratham itself. It also close to the bike hire centre so.ideal to get water or supplies before riding. Food is about average price and classic English grub. I live close to the centre so I feel I need to say something. Gratham Water is a large expanse of water that is stunning to look at. To keep that natural vibe and beautiful vista there has to be certain mechanisms in place. And keeping the area from being overly commercialized is one of them. The centre is well manned and offers a nice range but don't expect 3 course meals. It's a visitor centre trying to cover for a lot of differing tastes. It offers good grub at a cheap price with cheerful staff. And I say this in defense of an incredibly entitled family whingeing behind me last weekend. The team do a great...

Wonderful walk around Grafham water centre. Fantastic walk for our dog who thoroughly enjoyed it. Went completely around which was 8+ miles. For sure wellie boot weather 🤗 Would avoid just trainers, that’s not teaching people to suck eggs 😂 We stopped at one of the cafes and indulged in a coffee (not overpriced) Received with friendly smiles and well-behaved dogs welcomed. Despite feeling I should leave my muddy boots at the door for fear of getting mud everywhere it was spotless including the toilets. I’m sure they have their work cut out keeping it mud-free. My only reason for giving 4🌟was down to car park fee. Whilst I appreciate we have to pay for parking 5mins over the 4hrs cost £8…Little bit steep in my books. However at the same time the prices are clearly advertised.

Grafham water is a beautiful place to go for a walk- our wander very super peaceful and relaxing without being overly crowded or noisy. Even when walking past the live games area (laser tag I presume?) It feels like you are on the coast because the lake has a small tide (not sure how?) and there are small coves all around with a small beach area. The visitor centre has a cafe that sells drinks, cake and hot drinks In winter remember to bring your wellies as the trails / paths can be quite muddy Overall a great place to go to, but the parking is not cheap, one hour is fine but the price hikes up after 1 hour to ~£4 for less than 3 hours and more after that. Not sure if there is alternative locations to park on the other side of the reservoir at all ?

It's a good place to visit and to get out of the big city madness. Good for walks taking a couple of hours to walk around  the reservoir. Good for family picnic, take your dogs for walk, hang out with friends or even alone if you want to clear your mind. You can rent bikes or take your own. The information centre is on the north side ..you can buy coffee, tea, snacks and get brochures. There are 2 car parks one on the North side the other South side, paid with same price range both offering big car parks. On the North side you can go and have fun in the Rumble Live Action Gaming (really worth trying). On the South side is a nice restaurant view the reservoir view and a sailing club...you can also fish. Here's the closest village to it called Perry.
