Snowtrax Alpine Activity Centre & Snowsports Shop — Attraction in Hurn

We recently attended Snowtrax where we had booked a Ringos birthday party for our daughter. So glad we did as there was absolutely zero stress for us parents!

The party was for 8 children and the staff were very attentive. We were met at the entrance and any children who didn't bring their own helmets with them (helmets are compulsory when riding the slopes) were taken off to be fitted with helmets. Then we were taken to the Ringos slope and the kids had 30 minutes to use the slope.

We were then met by a staff member and shown to our seating area for lunch. We had a lovely, spacious area with 2 tables for the kids (still under some Covid-19 restrictions, so all 8 kids couldn't sit on the same table) and 4 further tables for parents to sit, socially distanced. The food was great (you order your food choices when you arrive) and, whilst every food option came with chips, the pizza, sausages, burgers and chicken nuggets were all of good quality. The kids had a choice of blackcurrant or orange squash and a choice of iced lolly for dessert. Snowtrax don't provide a party cake (or a knife to cut it with) or party bags but you can take your own which is what we did. We had as much time as we needed for our party lunch and were not rushed at all.

Once lunch was done, we had unlimited use of the adventure playground which the kids loved. There was plenty of picnic bench style seating (some covered) and you could see most areas of the play area from wherever you sat which was great for giving the kids some freedom. The giant wooden pirate ship, located on it's own fish-filled lake is a must for all budding explorers! There is only one entry/exit point which has a staff-operated gate, so it is very secure. The kids spent 2½ hours climbing, running, bouncing, balancing and jumping until we had to drag them away!

As a parent, this was the most hassle-free party ever. No stress, no tears and loads of fun! Well done Snowtrax for giving us a fabulous day and an experience that 8 very tired but happy kids will...

I recently took skiing lessons at Snowtrax, and it was an amazing experience! In just two days, Rhys and Harley transformed me from a complete novice to someone ready for a skiing holiday. Their approach to teaching is outstanding – they are not only exceptionally skilled but also incredibly patient and encouraging.

What impressed me the most was their ability to instill confidence in me. Skiing can be daunting for beginners, but their expert guidance made me feel safe and capable. Their passion for skiing is contagious, and their dedication to teaching is evident in every session.

I highly recommend Snowtrax for anyone looking to learn how to ski. Whether you're preparing for a holiday or just want to try something new, you're in great hands with Rhys and Harley. They are not just great teachers but wonderful people who make learning to ski an absolute delight!
