Really lovely farm! Was was nice being able to go in the pens and pet the animals! Reasonably priced for entry! The outside okay area is amazing and the indoor one! So so clean for a farm! No pooey smell! You can really tell the staff love working here! Everyone’s smiling and multiple staff stopped us and spoke to us indoors and outdoors! Which was lovely! The indoor play area is dust free and SO clean! Perfect place for a break for tea and cake whilst the kids play! The black sofas in here are SO comfy I nearly fell asleep! I felt really at home here! Didn’t try the hot food menu as it was very busy on our day we went but I saw others food and looked amazing I was so jealous but didn’t want to queue! Even though it was busy you didn’t feel overwhelmed as the space is huge! The pig race nearing the end of the day was AMAZING! Such an experience with all visitors and staff! A memory to remeber! & I would like to give a very special shout out to the staff member WAYNE who overheard us talking to our 2 year old in the outside play area about it being his birthday and he kindly came over to him and said “happy birthday Roman” which was so nice that he was listening and said his name! When we went on the tractor ride, wayne noticed us again and made an announcement on the ride that we had a very special rider on the train today called roman and he’s 2! And asked everyone to join him in singing happy birthday! This was such a special touch and brought a tear to my eye! What an experience and what a perfect birthday day treat for our boy! It’s a birthday I...
Read moreMyself and my two children (9 & 4) absolutely love Church Farm. It never fails to give us all day entertainment. Easter is by far our favourite time to go as live lambing and bottle feeding is just wonderful. The farm is so well kept, all the animals are so happy, loved and looked after. The play equipment is always well maintained and ready for hours of fun. Everything is thought of here. The covered picnic area is brilliant whether you're stopping for a full lunch or a light snack. You can even exit back to the carpark to collect/return any bags/coats etc and then come back into the farm. The toilets are always clean and stocked. The outside hand washing stations are so perfect and again, always stocked with soap and paper towels. All the staff are so well informed and no question is a silly question. You can tell they really love these animals. The tractor ride is something we do every time. It's always full of laughs and fun with the added bonus of feeding two hungry piggies some carrot. Although I have never eaten in the cafe, the cakes always look so delicious. I have had a hot drink from there and it was very good. There is a good size gift shop with a variety of items and there is also a large indoor soft play area for the children with additional seating. We come multiple times a year and will continue to do so as we just love it. We visited today (again) and it was raining most of the visit but did it bother us?....of course not! We...
Read moregreat indoor play area (two separate ones for different ages), including mini shops and loads of props.
outdoors is equally well served by trampolines, race tracks (both again separated for different age groups - under/over-5's), a big, shaded sand play area and various climby stuff.
obligatory gift shop is nice and attached to a café that has a good selection of breakfasty, lunchy and (delish looking) cakey stuff. and there's quite a bit of undercover, outdoor seating for eating, as well as an indoor area (both adjacent to the play area and tucked more quietly around the corner).
and, most importantly, there's a decent selection of pigs, chickens, goats, sheep, rabbits, guinea pigs, donkeys, etc. - not only in pens but also brought out by their keepers at various times of day for the kiddies to hold, stroke and hear interesting facts about.
in addition, a couple of times a day, there's a sweet, little tractor-with-trailer ride for the littl'uns (over 5 and they'd probably be slightly bored unless they're well into farm animals or tractors) around the outskirts of the farm, including a stop-off to feed the pigs (provided they're not hiding) and a relatively amusing commentary by the very friendly driver.
price-wise of course it's not especially cheap, but various seasonal/annual passes are available making it well worthwhile if you return a couple of times. and it is very spacious, clean, well...
