Lovely historical area of Kings Lynn. Had a wander around on Sunday evening, nice and quite with couple Of bars / Pubs open, but not to busy. Plenty of parking in the area and a great place To park up or sit in the beer garden with a drink and watch the world go by. Kings Lynn has some lovely architecture and history is everywhere you look. Some of the houses are very quaint and the little cottages with their windows covered up ( window tax ) look fab in this setting. I Would love to go back in time to see what it was like around victorian times. Well worth a visit if your...

Captain George Vancouver Was born in King's Lynn (June 22, 1757 – May 10, 1798) was an officer in the British Royal Navy, best known for his exploration. His statue was erected here in 2001. Btw nice place just next to river. Beautiful area for a walk. Bit cold this time of year so better to have tea or coffee. History is all around. A lot of historical places. If u visiting Kings Lynn then make sure it’s in ur list with...

Not rating the statue which is interesting, but if you have never been to King's Lynn it is worth a visit. History everywhere. We visited the True's Yard fishing museum, market area and all the old quay and hanseatic league sites. The Maid's Head pub is well worth a visit for lunch. The shopping centre is good and there are lots of cafes and places to...

Fun bit of history for anyone that has had anything to do with west coast Canada. Also it's just a statue with some lovely peaceful waterside surroundings and a hefty chain on the ground behind it.
