We (my wife, daughter and I) visited the Rainbow park on the 4th Sunday, July 2021. This is a great place to spend a a day on a weekend as it exactly has the setting so that you could enjoy the day as it goes. Our 3-year old daughter enjoyed the rides very much. Those range from £2~2.50 per person and the dodgems was only £3.30 for both (They accept cards. Mobile signals can be a bit slow and broken when accepting card payments, but you don't have to really worry especially because of their very friendly staff). Almost all of them were fairly longer rides and the staff were very friendly and helpful! Since this is an open area without gates or entrance scanning etc, you can always switch between activities. For example, you can go to a restaurant nearby for lunch or have a walk along the coast line or go for a sea tour on an amphibian boat (located right in front of Rainbow Park) and come back when your kid feels like coming back here to do a few more rides. Unlike Cotswolds, you don't have to worry about finding public toilets around as there were many around this area. There are plenty of (street style) food available here (e.g Ice cream, Coffee, Seafood Sandwiches). Weather was a bit windy and rainy—but we enjoyed the day here without any issues or worries.
(Also, there are plenty of parking around this area and you can pay with MiPermit mobile app without having to find coins or having to worry about faulty machines or sanitising hands after touching surfaces on...
Read moreSome nice rides, but a tad over priced (£2.50 a ride with no option for unlimited rides)
The length of some rides was pretty good, could not afford to ride all (and skipped the children's rides ofcourse). Avoid the "Musik Express" though, for the money it was an incredibly short ride and stopped just as it got up to speed.
I went on a Sunday so queues did not seem an issue, infact I had some rides to myself lol.
EDIT due to response: £2.50 a ride means £18 would be 7 rides. TBH as a quick stop that is fine yes but with most rides you do not really want to go on just once (specially when they are on the short side) "Musik express" was certainly less than 3 minutes lol Reason I say that the rides are a tad overpriced is I spent £18 for an unlimited band in skegness, spent a few hours there. I spent £22 for an unlimited band in southend (granted that was reduced as purchased the day before online) and was there for more than a few hours. £18 at great yarmouth gets again unlimited, though the ride selection for adults is not so good. Though I appreciate that with different operators it is not so easy to do an unlimited band I do feel its an important point to mention the absence of such a common feature...
Read moreAs a funfair/themepark enthusiast I've dreamt of working on rides like the twister (sizzler) and the umbrellas (paratrooper) for aslong as i can remember. I think what got me into funfairs and themeparks was riding the same umbrella ride (I must have been no older than 5) that I am now fortunate enough to operate at Rainbow park, hunstanton! My career is teaching piano in schools throughout Norfolk, meaning I have 6 weeks off throughout the summer holidays. Cut a long story short I spontaneously messaged Rainbow Park following a request for staff on their Facebook page offering to work throughout the Summer as this was when I was not teaching in schools (which im also very passionate about:)). What a great idea that turned out to be, I've worked full time throughout the summer and the owners and staff have been a testament to how good and well operated the park is itself. I've felt Included as a member of staff throughout the summer and its enhanced my passion seeing how much the owners care about the rides/customers. I hope its not my only summer and reccomend anyone who hasn't visited Rainbow Park to do so ASAP as they will not be...
