I’m a huge lover of aquariums and so are the family, however the children are still too young to be entertained for hours by fish in a tank. However sea life can be a great day with the family, and you did used to get in cheap when the tickets was on the back of cereals. Unfortunately we could not find any discount sites except the 20% off they offer you for pre booking. It cost £114 for 6 of us to enter with full price being charged for our 2 year olds…. Which is ridiculous. That was with 20% off.

This is obviously done to price gouge the tourists who come down for the week or day, kids want to go in and see some fishes, they get to the till and WHAM your spending £80 for a family of 4 to look at some fishes.

I understand they don’t have tourists all year, I understand that this needs to make money in order to facilitate charity work that they do. However charging such an extortionate amount means that you limit accessibility to most family’s. We can afford it, but we don’t want to pay £100+ for 6 of us to get in sea life for a couple hours 😂 the place is not the biggest either, it’s not like the deep in hull (which ironically is far cheaper especially if you pre book).

I will leave 4 stars however as the staff there was lovely, really put in some effort. All the tanks seemed very clean and fish all looked healthy. The ticket allows you to visit as many times in a day as you like, so we went off for a walk on the beach and returned later to try feel like we got our moneys worth 😂

All in all a great little sea life centre but the price is ridiculous, and I’m pretty positive they aren’t paying their workers...

EDIT FOR OWNER: I cant reply to the comment you added so i hope you see this. This took place about 4/5 months back and I really struggle to remember things. I'm 99% sure the person I had issues with had lots of piercings, wore glasses and had dyed hair. Unfortunatel,y I cant remember her name. And I havent been back near the Costa since so I actually didn't know its dog friendly now. Hopefully I wont have the issue now.

Went into the Costa Coffee section of the Sealife Centre after walking my Assistance Dog on the beach with my parents. Just wanted a rest and have a nice coffee. I sat down as I felt a bit off physically whilst my parents went to get drinks, was then approached by a Sealife member of staff.

She asked if he was an Assistance dog which I proceeded to say yes. That's when everything went pretty downhill. She then asked for identification. In the UK, Assistance dogs do not have any legal certification. I said that. She wanted to argue there was but I stood my ground and said there isnt. The worker then said "Okay, I will let you off this time." IM SORRY?! Was that a threat or something?

My parents came back and I told them everything and they were disgusted. We had our drinks and then i wanted to look in the Sealife shop. I felt way too scared to go on my own due to the nasty worker my mum had to come with me. The 1 star on this review was from another worker who asked if my dog was an assistance dog and he was actually nice.

Educate your...

A great place to go to. There is a lot to see and it is good for all age groups, whether you are old or young. Went expecting that it wouldn't be that good but that was based on what I could see on the outside and there isn't much to see there and it looks a lot smaller than you expect for a sea life centre. The staff are very friendly and informative and are willing to tell you and show you everything and anything but not in an overpowering way. The centre had a lot more than I expected and at one point I thought we were nearly finished but actually we were only about halfway around the centre. There are a lot if different types of sea life that you can see there and it is amazing how what you can think of as being under the umbrella of being just 'fish' are actually millions of different types and species and they are always unique a d every fish is different. The centre is also good as managing and showing how they are looking after the fish. The route through has loads of little facf cards that are very interesting and they give so much information if you are interested in reading them. Although most sea life centres are fairly derivative the one in Hunstanton is a cut above the rest in terms of quality of experience. Would fully recommend to anyone that...

Visited for my daughter's 3rd birthday treat I'll start with the reason(s) I only gave it 4stars. I thought it was a bit dated and certain areas look like they could do with modernization. I was surprised when it was over I didn't realize it was quite so small. Elaboration on the bits I/my family liked. The staff were extremely knowledgeable (I don't recall the guy's name but he was dressed as a mad scientist) we bumped into him in several different rooms and he spoke to us with passion and it was clear he knew the animals and what he was talking about, others too he just really stood out. Beautiful animals, my children loved being so close and seeing in detail them swimming past, their movements and actions. My daughter's favourite animal was the Moray eel, we stood and watched that for what seemed an eternity. The rescued seal pubs were and are adorable and named after some of the 7 dwarfs. That is great work you do there with the rescue of those pups. The seals in the outside tank, were very playful and somewhat cheeky, we enjoyed watching their antics and playful nature. I really enjoyed the big tank with the green turtle in, (s)he is a majestic beauty. My children really enjoyed it and I thought it was good, I would go back again, on Tesco clubcard points.

I've visited three Sea Life centres this week (here, Great Yarmouth and Alton Towers)  and although Great Yarmouth was great, Hunstanton  was my favorite and has to be one of the best UK ones. It's easy to get to but unfortunately the surrounding  local area doesn't appeal as a brilliant location. although the adjacent FunFair looks fun. For the centre itself, the staff were friendly, the exhibits were great, with lots of physically interactive aspects for children to explore, such as portholes, tunnels and domes to view the aquatic life and the otters. The penguin and bird enclosure was amazing, both species looked content and although there was a safety fence, the lack of other barriers provided great views. The centre is also a seal rescue centre, so whilst its unfortunate seals have been rescued and brought here, whilst they are here it's a great opportunity to see them up close without disturbing them in the wild. habitat, and see how healthy and happy they look, hopefully one day to be returned. One tip would be to do your shopping at Tesco, a 5 minutes walk away and get free parking for three hours. Despite the location, parking in Hunstanton is very expensive, starting at £2 per hour.
