Winterbourne Poor Lot Barrows — Attraction in Kingston Russell

Probably one of English Heritages most difficult to access sites but an interesting one none the less, especially if you are interested in bronze age history. Almost every type of barrow can be seen from this location and not far away are two stone circles and two ruined chambered long barrows (not EH) wanted to tick the visit off my list and it ended up being part of a lovely walk in the Dorset AONB.

Access is about 1 mile along farm tracks and field boundaries so bring wellies in...

No idea how you get access to this site. We managed to have a good look from across the road (uphill) and could clearly see the field with the barrows.

The picture from the air looks great, however from the lower perspective it seems a lot...

Earth works are obviously awesome if you research them before hand. It was difficult to find after parking as near as we could find but a pleasant walk through fields. No in information or sign posts, perhaps...
