This is a bit of a treat. Sometimes it's called The Lavender Farm, other times it is The Lavender Garden. It is in Giles Lane on the A36 a few miles south of Salisbury, just after the Landford Poacher on the way to West Wellow and is a bit of heaven - a flower garden attached to a field of lavender. The heavy scent here in the air here on a warm summer's day is both sporific and relaxing. Look about you - people are going "Ah", their shoulders relaxing, moments after arrival. There's a small restaurant serving light meals and - best of all - gorgeous cake made in their own kitchen. The cake comes slightly warm, dusted with icing sugar and with a frond of fresh lavender. Tea is served in purple teapots. Try the lavender and coconut, the date and walnut cakes and you won't be disappointed. You can have your tea inside, on the terrace or outside in the garden. There's a small garden...

This is a little gem of tranquility and beauty!

The staff are friendly and welcoming. Visiting the lavender farm was a wonderful experience, truly a slice of paradise tucked away. and setting the tone for a peaceful and inspiring visit.

The gardens are absolutely gorgeous carefully tended and thoughtfully laid out, with vibrant fields of dahlias, scented roses and sunflowers. The rich purples, pinks yellows and reds with lush greenery provide the perfect backdrop for photos or just quiet time and relaxation.

Whether you’re exploring the fields or relaxing under the umbrellas you should try their lavender biscuits and savoury scones which are delicious!

If you’re looking for a peaceful day out or a special place to bring family or friends, I can’t recommend this enough. It’s a place that soothes the soul and I’ll definitely be...

Lovely garden, free open day for the tulips in bloom. Never been before so good advertising on Facebook. Would go again for the nice lavender cakes in the cafe, lavender based gift shop and garden centre plants. Great on a sunny day to potter around all the windy paths and hidden features in the beautiful garden. Lavender not quite in bloom yet in April but I expect will be by May. Entry to the garden sounds like it's going up to £6 this year, I assume per person, not sure about kids, which to walk around the garden might be a bit steep for the whole family, if you didn't time it at a good time of year, but fairly reasonable if just paying for your self or compared to some other places in the new forest. Will be well worth it when in full bloom I bet. The cafe alone is lovely though even if you didn't go...

Completely glorious hidden gem! 😊🦋🌷 The lavender gardens have been transformed into a beautiful cottage garden. It’s a wonderful, peaceful space packed with colourful flowers. The owners have done an amazing job in a short time. And the food at the tea rooms is heavenly — amazing scones, cakes and crusty rolls. I’d recommend this to anyone. It’s a tranquil oasis where you can unwind from the hustle and bustle of daily life. It’s a real treat! There is also a small gift shop with lovely tempting trinkets, and a nursery where you can buy some glorious flowers and lavender. And they have season tickets! 😊🌸🌷

My new go to place. The cottage garden, formerly New Forest Lavender gardens, is a tranquil, laid back place. If you need to escape and feel at peace, this is for you. Disabled and dog friendly. Most of the gardens are level and plenty of seating areas if walking is a struggle. I used my gardeners world entry card so it was £9 for the 3 of us. Had a delicious lunch outside in the seating area. Nice little garden centre with some quality plants. Took about an hour and a half to walk round, but we were talking about the plants, so were very much lost in the moment. Well worth the visit.
