Really disappointed in the way I was treated as a customer of this dog park.
On arrival after parking in the compound i left the gate open for a few minutes as I knew my friend was about to arrive. In that time I left my dog in the boot while I nipped to the toilet, then let my dog out of the car, sorted his water bowl out to give him some water, let him into the park so he could have a run round, he then had a poo so I quickly nipped to the car to get a poo bag and as I was picking the poo up my friend arrived, then she shut the gates.
After spending an hour in the park, as we were about to leave, the owner of the dog park sped down the lane in her car and started shouting at us. As I didn't make the booking, I genuinely did not realize by leaving the gate open for a matter of minutes whilst waiting for my friend i was putting my dog in danger. If the lane is as dangerous as the owner says, I think the hazards need to be made more clear for people who don't know the area. But even so, after the owner had shouted at us I understood that we had made an honest mistake, although her tone was aggressive and unnecessary.
The situation then escalated when the owner continued her rant by posting a photo of us (albeit with an angry emoji over me) on her facebook page. The owner then named me publicly and shared my workplace on her public Facebook page. One of the owners friends then began making actual threats of violence on the post, so the owner sharing my private details knowingly put me in danger. The comments about my private life would still be on her post if I hadn't deleted the threads.
I'm genuinely in shock that leaving a gate open for a few minutes can cause this reaction. We accepted we had made a mistake there was no need for the owner to treat us like this, she should have just done a simple reminder that gates should always be shut and that should have been that. Allowing online shaming and bullying is not on.
So although the dog park is nice, the experience I have had with the owner means I can only give it one star.
Also the dog poo was picked up and the CCTV footage proves it. I now realize the owner is only saying this to try and provoke a...
Read moreI've previously used the park alone with my dog and had a good time, so invited a friend and her dog to join us in the larger park and we had a lovely time. However, we were accosted by the owner who sped her car down the lane and blocked us in because she wanted to berate us before we left. My friend had arrived before me, made a mistake with the entry process and the owner wanted to discuss with us - not a problem, we made a mistake and she wanted to make sure we understood what had gone wrong and that it didn't happen again, that's totally fine. What's not fine was that as the conversation went on she became more and more patronising and scolding - as though she was talking to children not two women in their 30s who had already apologised for making a mistake and assured her it wouldn't happen again - and then when we got home we discovered she'd posted a picture of my friend making the mistake on the company's socials telling all her followers she'd had to tell us off and how wrong we were. We made a mistske. Nobody was hurt, nothing bad happened. We felt it was resolved after our conversation. It. Was. A. Mistake. Mistakes happen. I do not expect a business owner who I've already discussed and supposedly resolved an issue with to then try and publicly shame me over that issue behind my back. I confronted her about the unprofessionalism of the post and she doubled down, so despite this being a very lovely dog park I cannot recommend it because of the owner's behaviour. If you go, do note, unless you are a perfect human that the owner may take images of you and post them online without your consent (albeit with an emoji over your head so she doesn't get sued) to encourage her followers to pile on you.
In response to the owner's comment: the rules do apply to me. I made a mistake, accepted the verbal warning and apologised. I thought we were done. You then decided to put me in the online stocks and have subsequently doxxed me and my friend by sharing personal information you had to search out about us to your followers. Doxxing customers over a bad review. Very professional. Also very...
Read moreOK!!! So this dog park is not 'JUST' a dog park! This is dog heaven! Which in turn makes it heaven for dog parents because of the absolute joy it brings to see them having the time of their lives! Having 2 large breed dogs with the recall of a toddler in a toy shop, having a space that's secure but also exciting with different areas is legendary. From digging in the sand pit, chilling out like captain Sparrow in the boat, running in the woodlands and diving into the stream frolicking like Robin wood behind the trees and risking life and puppy paw limb to navigate the assault course. Your dogs will have a months worth of fun in 1 hour! And, for us pawrents, theirs a porta loo, and not a Glastonbury, take the risk of your health to use porta loo! It's clean and is handy if your past a certain age and need to go as often as your dogs do! There's a water wash facility for when your pup decides to bath like the Greek gods in the mud. The owner is sooo thoughtful and is always making new additions and asking what they can do to make the space even better. And they actually listen, invest and keep the space moving forward. Do not hesitate to book this place, it really...
