I went to buzzards valley 2 weeks ago on a Saturday evening. When I got to the woodland walk there was no electricity no lights and no locks on the gate. I had driven 13 miles to bring them and couldn't leave them without some sort of run .
I tried the phone number but no answer there was no emergency telephone number and as a lone woman I didn't feel safe with no gate lock so I didn't go into the place myself just stood inside gate as it was pitch black I went on FB messenger and someone replied after I sent a curt message the manager will ring yo.u back . He did and quite frankly I fond him to be quite disinterested in my situation. He said he can't be ever were ! it wasn't his fault as they rented the land the dogs are safe as there are two gates he didn't seem to get anyone could already be in there or get in if I walked off . He then said come to the other field where there is light tbh by then I just wanted to go home . He offered me two free walks or a refund so I took the walks so you think that's the end of the story oooohhhh no !!! ..
I took the dogs back on the Wednesday for 12 o'clock there was a woman still in and out of the field block the space outside packing up your supposed to be out by five passed I ended up telling to please move and vacate the field she did so very slowly so straight away that ruined it as I was wound up . I have socal anxiety that's why I walk them privately. I'm OK after a while we have a good walk . As I'm coming back from the walk at 1250 to get out in time two people are coming through the gate I had to shout across that the needed to go back to their car and should not have entered the field oh its our first time was the answer.
I was totally stressed out I phoned the owner she apologise but again seemed disinterested also she said she would tell both the customers before and after because she works with them well if that's the case the should know better . I was fuming as this is my main outlet for outdoors I didn't bother going the second free session and won't be going here again. As you can tell from this war and peace review I'm not impressed and...
Read moreBig field with great potential to be one of the best in the area. Easy to find. Good parking. Nice big field. Separation between the two field boundary’s so there’s no noses through fences. All good… BUT… It’s just unfortunately let down by a few faults.
Firstly, I had read a couple of reviews about people entering the field whilst others were in there. Unfortunately I witnessed this today where a lady entered her booked field at her time slot but the booking before that were still in there. This could have ended very badly for either dog. I feel this should be looked into with a more secure method. I was worried about someone possibly entering my booked field, after witnessing this. I had booked the woodland walk field and you can’t see if someone is down there, from the front gate.
Secondly, there was damage to the wire fencing on the bottom of the 2nd fence, just inside the first one you go through. This wouldn’t have bothered me but the gaps under both fences are 100% big enough for my dog to get under. (Photo attached but not the best).
Last but not least, I had issues getting out of the field. I was using the code I had used to get in and even had my emails open with the code on, to make sure I was using the right one. But, it wasn’t working and the gate would not open!! I had to get help from a lovely lady, who was waiting to go in one of the fields, and get her to type in the code on the outside padlock. I even tried pressing the cancel button before putting in the code and pressing the tick button after, but nothing worked. I would have been stuck if there wasn’t anyone waiting for the next slot.
Like i say though, it’s a good field with great potential, I just think a couple of things need to be re-considered for safety of both dogs and their owners. It’s a shame because I really enjoyed the Pounders Park fields but wanted to try the Buzzard Valley ones for a change. I don’t think I’ll be booking this field again until...
Read moreWe recently moved to the area and having used something similar previously in a different area we were very disappointed. There was dog poo in the field and the woodland walk was well beyond needing attention. The path made from artificial grass had all collapsed and gone rotten, was very lumpy and there was previously some kind of island that you could access in the middle of the lake but the path had collapsed and was flooded. Lots of rubbish was visible during the walk in nearby areas. It just felt like there was very little maintenance to making it feel enjoyable and somewhere you’d want to return....
