a hidden gem in dorset with a lovely relaxing garden and fantastic cream teas. its sad public access to the waterfall nearby is going in June which is a short walk from this lovely garden. The gardens are full of lovely flowers and vegetables. Its so relaxing, we was lucky enough to get in early and for a short time had the table and chairs in the garden to ourselves, it was so relaxing and the aromas of the garden are exquisite. After the garden we had a cream tea, it was really nice and the team working very friendly. Afterwards we had a drive through the countryside towards Weymouth and the views are amazing. Its a hard place to find, but you wont be disappointed. I'd like to thank the lovely manager, she was very kind to my wife and I and really made our visit a...

Wonderful walled garden so peaceful as is the whole village. Plenty of busy bees and butterflies. We also heard a Tawny Owl calling. Great selection of plants & veg. The cafe was much bigger than expected with indoor sofas. Outside there are tables and umbrellas. The cafe has a toilet They have a really nice selection of cakes and scones, jam & cream. Make sure you visit the lake & the church. There is parking just outside the wall garden but most people park on the grass on the top road and walk around the village. The garden and cafe is only open Wednesday and Sunday afternoon 2-5 . It will close 15th September as end of season. The whole valley is up for sale 35m Do not delay if you'd like to visit this...

Four of us went there for visit. 3 of us are horticulturists. Aw we loved it. It’s so beautiful and atmospheric, so much work and time and effort put into it by people who quite obviously love the place, the little tea room is delightful I loved the photos and the nic naks. The sponge cake was gorgeous and the pot of tea was excellent! A very friendly and warm welcome, we didn’t want to leave and will definitely come again and bring friends. A very...

This is such a beautiful and peaceful place. Its just ashame the walled garden only opens for few hours on Wednesday and Sunday hence why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 as I didn't see the garden. I visited this place on Saturday and it would have been nice to see the garden. Other than that I loved walking around, such a scenic and tranquil place, and the waterfall was just amazing. This is a nice place to relax especially by the waterfall.
