Was a bit disappointed when I initially got there, carpark followed by a huge expanse of grass, lots of people with dogs, walked through the park came across the ground for Everton womens football club, then on to a small lake, wasn't best impressed, went on to the bigger lake, what an absolute gem of a lake, this definitely redeemed the park, highly recommend you park as close to the lake as you can and have a look, I'll definitely be going back

I live so close to this park and really don't get to go very often which is a shame as its such a beautiful park. I took my grandchildren for a,nice walk around both the lakes to feed the ducks, geese and swans and around the trees to feed the squirrels. They absolutely loved it. I've now made my mind up to visit much more often.

You know I've been coming here since the 60s as a little boy , I'm nearly 64 now ! Back in the 70s my dad worked here , where the sports centre is there used to be a brick hut where you could pay to use the putting green , the tennis courts , there was boating on the big lake , as we were his kids , all 6 of us , now and again we'd get something for free!. In front of his hut we're two manicured bowling greens surrounded by flowers 💐 in the corner not far from where the house is there used to be an avery and a pets corner. And over the other side was a bandstand, the remnants are still there .People would come from miles around to spend the day here with picnics and play games .It was a truly wonderful place! In fact, my now wife lived in Alderville Road just over the avenue. When we were courting, we'd spend hours there just talking , walking, the usual stuff , that was way back in 1982 ! But sadly, like most of the Liverpool I grew up in, it's not the same anymore 😕 it still is a lovely park, and I walk it every weekend , but I wish people were able to see it like it...

A nice Park for a dog walk got a bit of fishing in the 2 lakes situated at the top of the park. Please be aware though that there are a few dog walkers that let there dogs have free in this park dont bother that they aren't using a lead to protect both themselves an there dog from any issues that may arise as a result of no leash control apart from that it's fairly clean a d tidy better then some other parks in the local area.

Ah I nearly forgot to mention there is a fully functional playground that is securely sectioned off this works out perfectly as you can on the bench that is close enough to enable you to take 5 chill down whilst also being able to keep a watchful eye on the little ones that are making the most of the playground equipment provided at this particular park win win in my...

A beautiful 130 acre park, it has fantastic scenery, lush open green fields for the children to play on. two outstanding lakes full of fish and brimming with wildlife. Lots of geese and ducks to feed. It has owls and bats that can be seen at dusk. There is two bowling greens and great exercise equipment around the park for anybody that wants to get fit and it is all free to use. It has a stunning rose garden brought back to life by the friends group who are all local volunteers, they also litter pick and its cleanliness is plain to see. It has children's seating areas and play areas that are maintained by the friends group. They also plant seeds, bulbs and lots of flowers and plants around the park. A really good day out with lots of things to do and see in a perfect oasis...
