Absolutely loved our time here. Booked a half day private experience to fly some birds, I also planned to propose to my partner who absolutely loves birds/birds of prey, whilst on this experience using the birds. The centre honestly went above and beyond to help me plan, and go through with this. With the help of the great grey owl Dory who flew a sign to my partner. It was honestly just a beautiful day and a wonderful experience. Truly a day and memories we will treasure forever. I cannot thank or praise the centre and the staff enough for executing this surprise so perfectly. I was sooooo nervous but honestly it could not have gone better. They were all so so lovely, and went above and beyond without a doubt, even bringing us glasses of prosecco after. Also cannot praise our falconer Poppy enough, who made our experience wonderful, was like walking around flying birds with a friend, which added to our memories and made the experience just relaxed (as much as i could be) and just so much more enjoyable! I am positive we will be back next time we are in Wales, you guys and Dory are now an important and special part of our story. Thank you again for all of the amazing staff for giving us memories we will never forget and will never get sick of telling people about. Truly amazing!

One of the best attractions we have ever visited. Highly recommend you get a private hawk experience. We went for the Woodland walk experience which lasted around an hour and half. The first part was a walk through the trees with our guide (Simon?) and a Tawny Owl. Forest the owl would sit in the tree then fly down and land on our hands when instructed. The second part was a slightly different walk but with Baldrick the Harris Hawk. Our guide gave us continuous guidance on what to do and how to do it. He was also extremely knowledgeable about the hawks and handled our continuous questions with ease. After the walk, I then got to hold Midas, the Golden Eagle. A mere 3.2kg in weight but after a few minutes he felt more like 30kg. To say he was huge is an understatement. You really appreciate the magnificence of these beauties when they are 6 inches from your face!! To finish off, we got to sit and view one of the live shows where several different hawks were flown around us whilst a commentary was given. All in all, an amazing experience and easily the highlight of our week's holiday.

Miharo / Fantastic & such good value (combined with the Botanic garden entry). Passionate people working with beautiful birds to inspire us all with the magic of Birds of Prey. Seeing birds in flight in their natural habitat showing their speed, agility, personality and beauty and hearing about their habitat, population, characteristics and threats is educational and exhilarating to watch and learn. We then paid £10 each to spend half an hour up close & personal in the woods with Rusty the owl flying around and coming into land on our gloves (for a treat) then take off again. Charlie the lead Falconer/Trainer was encouraging and helpful with us to ensure our movements and stance were easy for Rusty to land and providing us with lots of interesting insight and facts. Poppy & the rest of the team were wonderful. Such a privilege to have this experience so up close & personal with people who love the birds of prey and the work they do to show us how incredible these birds are. So

I bought this visit as a gift for my wife as we're both kinda animal daft. We've done all sorts previously, from whale watching to alpaca trekking, and pretty much have our own zoo back home, but !! This is a bucket list moment. Seriously. We spent the better half of a day flying various birds of prey, interacting, and I guess feeding these creatures. Their unique personalities and quirky behaviour were mesmerising. Our guide was faultless, factual, and totally engaging with a real sense of passion towards these majestic beasts. We flew such a variety, accumulated to getting up close and personal with probably the biggest bird you'll ever likely to see. The infamous golden Eagle. He was huge but gentle. The sense he could easily fly off taking you with him! All aviaries were spotlessly clean with plenty snippets of information to keep the keenest ornithologists entertained. The whole experience was humbling and thoroughly enjoyable. Highly recommend!!!

We booked a private owl experience. What an experience we had!! We were led by our lovely falconer Alex who answered all of our questions about the owls and really ensured we had a great experience. We met and flew with three owls - Froddo, Alun and Ozzie all beautiful creatures. Alex ensured we flew the owls where my disabled mum could join us a a spectator so accessibility needs were catered for. We watched the display after which was really informative. We had an awesome experience and the whole team are so lovely. The bonus is that the ticket includes entry to the botanical gardens which is so beautiful in its own right. Most of it is accessible via wheelchair although some of the forestry paths are a bit too bumpy. Really recommend a visit!

My partner received the woodland walk experience as a birthday gift and I tagged along as a spectator. Included in the voucher was free entry to the botanic gardens, free access to a bird of prey display and also a woodland walk flying two birds. The display was fantastic and the birds seemed to be loving the activity (and we manager to find a few fallen feathers on the field - winner!). The walk was facilitated by Simon, who was lovely, accomodating, knowledgeable and informative (also very generous with his time as I think we had a little longer than we should have!). The birds were beautiful, full of character and it was amazing to see them flying in their natural surroundings. Such an amazing experience and would definitely recommend.
