Not quite what I was expecting as we parked in Clydach Ironworks carpark to explore the old ironworks and make a walk of the surrounding area.

Found that the map in Cyldach Ironworks carpark did not have any foot paths, with only highlighted areas of interest nearby. Proceeded to walk down towards the river from the carpark to find it pretty much looped back to the carpark. Had to take a short walk along the side of the road to get to the ironworks which was nice and found there to be a better map with different footpaths in the area.

Decided to walk the orange footpath towards Blackrock as this looked to be a nice loop to Devils bridge and to return back along the old railway line. Found this route to not be very well signposted and went through a few housing estates along with a section that required walking along a road before getting to Devils bridge.

If doing this walk again, I would recommend to not cross over the A465 and keep on the side of the blue / red trails shown on the map. This was much better and enjoyed this side of the walk much more as it had nice beach trees and a few disused railway tunnels.

Overall a nice walk but expected to be better signposted considering the carpark and decent benches...

The photos look great. Sadly we followed the pin on Google maps and it took us to a roadside recreation area, with no clear way to access the footpath system to explore the gorge. There was a 100m path down to the streamside, which was pretty, we picked up quite a bit of litter along there though. There was a large sign with a map, but again no obvious entry to the main paths. Once you've parked Google maps directs you to walk back onto the nearby dual carriageway, and down an unmarked embankment to get to the paths, just didn't seem right. We spoke with 2 other families who seemed to be having exactly the same problem. It's a shame as the valley looked beautiful and full of...

Not so easy to find as the sign posts are quite small. The ruins are interesting for a few minutes, all fenced off for safety. Information boards in place, with a useful 'how it may have looked'. We walked by the side of the river, sometimes up hill, and it would not be an easy path for those with mobility issues. The paths weren't that clear and we walked through a housing estate and behind the gardens. The pathway eventually just became too overgrown and we turned back. The falls had plenty of water this Autumn. Overall, sadly, we were not...

Beautiful gorge and surrounding area. You have to walk through a housing estate and round the back of some houses (it's the path that goes by the side of a house that you have to follow) to get to parts of the gorge but it worth it. If you are following the guide make sure after the "metal rail bridge" that you make a left to follow the guide, but I'd first go right along the ridge footpath to see the waterfall and then turn back and follow the guide.

Absolutely lovely place rode up there on my bike and had look around problem is I got a little lost! A real hidden gem if you fancy wandering around to find it, lots of little walks if you fancy a bit of an adventure really feels like you earned it. I loved the tunnels and waterfalls but failed to find the devil's bridge or ironworks before it got dark. (I went on the 21st dec)
