Wonderful museum. When we went there were some stalls and events going on which really brought it to life (2021-12-11). The cafe was exquisite and there was a man called Paul there doing the parking who gave such a friendly welcome! Really recommend!

Edit (2022-09-29): I came back here more recently, around a year later, to see the D-Day Darlings perform and had another wonderful day. We went to the cafe before hand for lunch (which was excellent!) and there was Paul again! After the lunch he told us all about the Merlin engine, the airport and what it's used for now, previous hangers and other historical details. What a knowledgeable man! They're updating some of their displays and exhibitions at the moment, so well worth another visit if you've been before.

Edit (2023-03-14) returned here as they have changed many of their displays and added a really immersive air raid shelter section with an actual metal shelter and a panoramic projected informational video. Was very impressed with the new stuff, well worth a return visit if you haven't been here in recent months. We had lunch in the cafe again and the food was absolutely lovely with really generous portions. I had the "dam buster" - look at the pictures I've attached for the detail of the planes and bomb giving it a really special themed touch. Even the coffee had a plane on top...

My daughter took me here for a birthday lunch. It's a bright, clean cafe with a small corner with 1940s decor. She had a bacon Caesar salad, which was really good and a large portion. 3 rashers of v.crispy bacon, salad leaves, green beans, and sprinkled with cheese. And the most delicious garlic bread. I had the cheese ploughmans. Huge! A baguette, lovely cheese, pickles, salad, and watermelon. Grapes or celery or maybe a small apple would be better than melon, though. But why add walnuts, chilli sauce on the side, and peas in the salad??! Otherwise, a great ploughmans and some cheese to take home too. The menu includes pizza and salad, salads, and a spitfire sandwich with chicken. But more vegetarian options are needed, maybe tuna or something with halloiumi? It was a nice chilled out afternoon with lunch and watching the spitfires. We also visited the Chapel afterwards to see the stained...

Lovely quaint remembering an important part of British history, from local stories, to great accomplishments, fascinating details, artefacts and respects to the fallen. Great place for school visits , groups, families and individuals to visit usually attracting 100-120 people per day closed on Sundays and Mondays. Biggin Hill Memorial museum has a café which can be used regularly by people, excellent WC facilities including disabled entrance and toilets and slopes for wheelchair access. Great parking including the coaches, a lovely Memorial chapel/church which is services at 9:30 am on Sundays and has a lovely staff run in the museum. There are fantastic full-size hurricane and Spitfire planes. This place could be further improved with children’s playing outdoor facilities and additional outdoor seating areas in central area overlooking the chapel and rose memorial garden. Enjoy your...

Well worth a visit if you are passing. Biggin Hill needs no introduction as it is probably the most famous Battle Of Britain fighter station in England. Where once was just the chapel guarded by a Hurricane and a Spitfire, there is now a most interesting purpose built museum, which incorporates the chapel, a memorial garden and a cafe. Adult entry to the museum is £6.50 and the cafe is excellent! Just a short way further down the main road, toward Westerham, you will come to a roundabout just after you've passed the end of the runway. Turn left there and immediately on your left is a new memorial garden. Called "The Strongest Link Garden" (after the station's motto), the centrepiece is an incredible 4m high sculpture of a Battle of Britain Fighter Pilot looking up at the sky. There is a free car park. (See also my seperate review of the garden).
