A beautiful place for a nature walk with family and friends. The Welsh Harp open area has a good walking space surrounded with green trees , grass and plants. There is also a football ground open to all to play football. The place besides the reservoir is a beautiful place to sit and relax and enjoy the beauty of mother nature. Also there are many places where families can have a small picnic . There are many duck and swans who come uninvited to your picnic spots by the waters. There is a parking spot for cars by the main entrance. There is also a club where they teach kayaking and small single person paddle boats. Swimming, barbecue and tents are prohibited. There are ducks and swans here. Used to come feed them with my grandma on Sundays. Not many people seem to come so it's very good if you need a mental break.
There is a boat club with sailing lessons available.
There is also a garden centre next to the park.
It's a fairly large place so it would make a nice medium distance walk.
For cyclists, the forest park does not have a paved path, so keep that in mind. No delicate bicycles.
You cannot swim in the reservoir and I would definitely not recommend it.
