A lovely park with the River Quaggy running through it. Entering a short walk from Grove Park Station you come across the poignant Tutu Peace Garden. Designed by Chris Beardshaw an internationally renown garden designer and broadcaster. Simple & serene with seating to reflect. Nearby a sign explains archbishop Desmond Tutu's links with the area- as he lived nearby in 1972-5 and how he opened it in 2009.

Elsewhere there are paths taking you in different directions including two opposite ways to join the Green Link paths which go around London.

There are nature gym activities spread out en route but sadly most have lost their instructions.

See map in photos for placement Chinbrook Meadows have a cricket pitch, tennis courts...play areas...community apple orchard- but seems like they've already been picked. They have a nature reserve, there is also currently some work to improve the River Quaggy and relink it to the floodplain to encourage wetlands and wildlife.

Numerous community events happen throughout the year, all well attended so the park is a good hub! Sign in photos for details.

Signs mention a cafe and toilets but I can't vouch for these as not checked.

A nice place to visit to...

Good for a run, I also use it like an obstacle course as they have fitness stations around the edges of the park, a rounder is approximately 1.3-1.6km. They have a small cafe and public toilets, free tennis courts and basketball/small football court. There are football goal posts there as well as a cricket batting net area. Two playgrounds, one for toddlers next to cafe and one for older kids opposite end of park. There is a small free car park (10-14 cars approximately) and free parking for two hours( I think) just outside on the road but that only just fits three cars. Regularly see dog walkers during the day most pick up after their dogs so park...

This is such a lovely little park. I live just 2 minutes from this place and I'm so grateful to have this park on my doorstep. Coming here feels relaxing and it's a nice place to just sit and find some peace. Lots of people come here to walk their dog and it's also nice to see people out and about playing tennis and also using the outdoor gym equipment that are scattered throughout the park. This place is a great little park with a huge field in the middle. There's also a little cafe at the back of the park and then you've got the Quaggy river. 5/5...
