I had been looking forward to visiting this park just the same way I look forward to visiting Lake Dristrict cause of the amazing landscape and scenery, some day. Today, though, proved to me that if you are a city or town person who doesn't do well with mud, don't even bother. I actually thought the trails would at least be paved. I thought wrong. Oh, lawd, it was all muddy, and the worst part is the horse dung and dog poos litering the trails. I should have taken photos but I was too grossed out. Heaven knows these things make me cringe. Some dog owners are simply put, irresponsible, and anti-social. If we overlook all these negatives, it's actually a nice place to go on a nature walk by yourself or with friends. Great views and nice sculpted trees. There is parking as well. Apparently there is a Cafe 20 minutes down down the trail somewhere but I didn't even get that far. The sightings of mud and poo wouldn't let me. Had to turn back. At least now I can say I've been there and cross it off my list.

This is a lovely forest with 2 cafes a children’s play area and a small petting zoo. The lake and forest are great for long walks and you can come out at The Camelot Miller and Carter in one direction. There are some little arty places where you can book painting classes or a crafty woodwork shop as well as a National trust shop. The new cafe is card only payment, a little pricey but very nice and modern. Dogs welcome! The older lady that works here is nice and makes a good cup of coffee. The only thing that lets this park down is when it’s busy the bins can overflow and attract wasps and bugs. Other than that great place for a picnic or a dog walk. With ample parking and good toilet facilities. Including a complete wet room for disabled guests.

There is a beautiful and large forest area that provides delightful walks. It also has a large lake in the heart of the park and it is a home for many birds, such as Mallards, Coots, Moorhens, Canada Geese and Herons. Watch out for the Canada Geese, they can be vicious! There is a new visitor centre provided by the Woodland Trust and a few craft shops next to it. There are two cafes in the park, one is provided by the Woodland Trust and the other is an independent cafe. A new playground has been installed and it is ideal for children up to the age of about eleven years. Parking is available and payment needs to be made using the RingGo App. Cash is not taken for parking.

After living around the area for over 2 years, we finally came across this lovely park. Lots of open space as well as a few trails. A little animal zoo that wasn't open to the public at the time but we could still see the black ducks, ponies, short goats, sheep and swans. Buggy friendly and nice scenery. Plenty to explore and we will definitely be going back. Parking is to be paid for but relatively cheap. I'm sure you could find some streets in the surrounding areas to park for free if you looked. A 1 hour 45 minute walk was enough for the hot 30 degree weather but was well shaded by the trees so not uncomfortable. Plenty of blackberries to eat too!

To start Car parking is very good, £1 for 1 hour or £3 for all day, so pick and choose and will find parking any time. Limited only for stardard car, maybe small vans as there is a hight limit on the entrance. The park it self is good and big enough and quiet large for walks around the lake and inside the forest. Nive and quiet atmosphere around. Also has a cafe. And enough benches to have a picnic. And if you feeling more adventurous pop in the Zoo, its a small zoo, but enought for lil kids to be existed for a day, see some of my photos and videos of it, or just come over and be tje judge yourself. But i like it. Its not the first time we go there.

Hainault Forest is a true hidden gem! The forest offers a beautiful escape from the city with its vast woodlands, open meadows, and serene lake. It’s perfect for a peaceful walk, a family outing, or even a solo adventure if you just want to immerse yourself in nature. The trails are well-maintained, and there’s so much wildlife to see, from birds to deer. The forest also has a lovely picnic area, and the children’s playground is fantastic. Plus, the on-site café offers tasty treats and refreshments, which is a nice touch after a long walk. If you’re looking for a scenic spot to enjoy the outdoors, Hainault Forest is a wonderful choice!
