Little Wormwood Scrubs is a hidden gem in West London, offering a peaceful retreat from the city’s hustle and bustle. This 8-hectare park is located near Shepherd’s Bush and Ladbroke Grove and provides a mix of open green spaces, woodland, and excellent facilities for families and nature enthusiasts alike.
One of the park’s standout features is its award-winning playground, which makes it particularly appealing to families with young children. The imaginative play areas include climbing frames, sandpits, and slides, catering to a variety of age groups. It’s an ideal spot for kids to burn off energy while parents enjoy the surrounding greenery.
For those seeking a bit of quiet, the park’s pathways wind through tranquil areas with wildflowers and trees, making it a great spot for walking, jogging, or simply relaxing on a bench. The open meadows and picnic spots provide space to unwind or have a meal outdoors.
Little Wormwood Scrubs also has a small but vibrant community feel. Locals value its accessibility and charm, and it’s not uncommon to see dog walkers, runners, and families enjoying the park together.
Though relatively small compared to other London parks, its charm lies in its intimate and well-maintained environment. It’s a wonderful place to escape for some fresh air, whether you’re exploring with kids or looking for a serene spot...

This park offers one of the best public playgrounds for children in the inner city, as well as being a fantastic walking and jogging route, with it's wonderful circular pathway that goes around about half a mile full ways around.
The only thing I can say beyond the setting is how pleasantly quiet and not too crowded it is even on hot days, as long as you feel to take a walk a little past the inner gates of the park you're guaranteed to find a bench in a clear open area to join the warm day...

The three play areas, two on the left hand side of the park and the other on the right cover aged two to twelve. The adventure playground part though is subject to shorter opening hours. Plenty of seats throughout. Dog toilets and dog free zones. Always pleasant to visit. Of note is the large adult gym area near to the footpath that leads into the much larger Wormwood Scrubs. Haven't walked the length of this yet. Need to do this and post some decent photos. Love the graceful willow trees here. Far too...
