I'm going to review the features and services within this park and then give my overall review. Starting with: Space: This park is massive. There's so much space everywhere even after all the features within it which is really nice. There are a lot of benches and sitting areas throughout the park for those looking to just relax and enjoy the weather. Features: There are a so many features within the park such as: Gym area Play area for kids Ice cream truck stop Basketball court x2 Public Garden / Orchid Coffee Shop w/ Halal hot dogs Tennis court x 2 Foot ball area x2 Table tennis table Bike parking It's worth noting that the listed features were all well kept and in good condition. Services: The ice cream truck and the coffee shop are some of the key services available within this park. You can get an ice cream for 99p which is a really nice price especially for those visiting with their family. Hygiene: The whole park was really clean, which is an impressive feat considering its size. There's a handful of bins spread out throughout the park incase you have some litter you need to dispose off. Summary: Overall, this park is really good and I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking to visit or walk through like I did.

This park is a large expanse with many different areas. There’s a place for children with lots of playground area. There’s a garden area with a community section, pillars, and lots of greenery. There are large areas of grass to walk or lounge in, or to bring dogs to. The trail goes through the park as well as around the edge of the park, and includes an area that is heavily wooded and covered by trees as well as a wildlife area that is untouched and left to the plants and animals, other than the addition of a path, park bench, and signs explaining the area of the park. Overall a lovely place for a relaxing stroll, a picnic, or to take your children to during the day!

It's one of my local green spaces. It has everything you would need in a community park. A small farmed area with berries and fruits. Please read the notices before picking. A children's swing park with climbing frames and sand pits. Tennis courts that the council wanted to privatise, that is now under review from pressure from the community who wish to oppose the sell off. Gently rolling hills that allow for a varied walking experience. There are views over Catford from the higher vantages that allow you to have a unique of the Borough. You can find a bench and just be at peace, breathing in the cleaner air away from the traffic.

I like Mountsfield Park and would have given it 4 stars but, unfortunately, what let's it down, is the public not binning their rubbish properly, then the foxes drag it out of the bins or people nowadays just don't give two hoots about their environment or keeping their local park beautiful for families or each other to use. I mean you'll see bottles or tin cans of beer thrown on the grass RIGHT NEXT TO THE BIN because it was too much effort for the poor little didems to stretch their poor little arms a few centimetres to drop it into the bin and you can't blame the beer on the foxes - I mean what the flip is that all about to throw it right next to the bin??? My second point/moan, is sadly the many selfish dog owners I see who let their dogs poo everywhere and not picking up after themselves when there are clearly more than enough marked "dog poo bins" available all over that park. The women dog owners are not so bad and are more responsible, but the men are the main culprit and are too lazy to bring a bag with them to clear up after their dog. One guy especially who I saw regularly when going for walks some mornings clearly won't have his huge Alsatian messing up his back garden and can't be bothered to clear up the mess in his own back yard, but brings his dog there for 5-10 minutes, let's it off the leash, it runs around for a few minutes, finds a spot, does it's business, then he drags the dog back home again, so me being me, I couldn't help myself one morning and confronted him about the new rules and laws in a polite, but firm manner and said it was very selfish and lazy of him and to stop letting his dog clearly use the park as a toilet or to bring a bag like other people and clean up after himself. Well he pretended he didn't hear me, so mum started on him. I won't repeat what...

Mountsfield Park benefits from an excellent playground well equipped for children of all ages. The cafe is of a high standard with a range of hot drinks and cakes as well as snacks for the kids, however the cafe is only open summer and weekends. There are toilets available too. Don’t remember if there’s a baby change because I just do it in the park.

The park run on Saturday mornings is a hoot and of a modest size compared to some park runs which can over crowded and over organised.

Other highlights include a community veg garden which is very interesting, concrete sports courts, a crumby bandstand, amazing views and also some exercise equipment dotted around the park.

There is a free water bottle filler by the entrance to the park near the...
